Skunkman sam is still around these days. He jsut doesnt share seed with anyone but his closest friends because every time he does, seeds pop up on seedbank websites with zero credit being given whatsoever at all, half bred into other lineages but labeled as "Skunk 1" or "roadkill skunk" or something.. Especially by the dutch. They kinda steal everything he has ever lets go of as their own, hybridize it, then label it as the original plant, and always with zero credit to anyone but themselves as far as any american breeders can tell.. Nevil was actually the biggest theif of skunkman's over the years. Original haze, skunk, NL, it all came from the skunkman sam crew.


unfortunately most of us are only ever gonna find some real skunk if we create an appropriate cross to bring out all the thiols and hunt through a thousands phenos ourselves to find that one special plant.

i have about 250 Queen B R1s saved specifically for myself, specifically for skunk hunts that are gonna take place over the next decade or so. limited room and all that.

It's plastic, but yeah. It works really good, I love that thing. It needa cleaning which is simple with some ISO. I have fucked up thumbs and hands, but that thing makes it a breeze to pack a cone, especially combined with the wacker

Thats an F1, a true F1, every single phenotype will be different form one another. Pop 1000 and youll still be seeing new phenos, Its not like todays highly inbred for consistency before crossing F1 plants., its a lot more comparable to something like my peaceblaster genotype, genuinely.

You could smell skunk #1 a half mile away in flower with a just a couple plants lol, and those were ALL clones of the same phenotype back then.. A skunky pheno and a real skunk are two different things, and even with the original skunk F1s, the kind of plant the old heads are talking about is like a 1 in 1000 F1 pheno. Theyre all thiol rich, but a real skunk is called a skunk because its very comparable to a real skunk lol. you can indeed, FACTUALLY, smell those plants from a long ways off outdoors. And that was actually a big factor in so many growers ditching the clone, it was too risky to grow, it was getting people busted left and right in the 80s and 90s.


Todd Mcormick will say himself, word for word, that if you dont have a greenhouse you can open pollenate a thousand plants at a time in to make more to hunt, you arent going to pull the real skunk #1 from those seeds. I heard him say this last night with his own mouth on a podcast lol. If you think any other way about those seeds, you are incorrect, and will end up disappointed or calling the wrong plant sklunk #1

Skunk #1 from AG is the opportunity to potentially find your own true skunk. They arent selling you "the skunk #1 clone" and theyre very clear about that lol. Its the the genotype the plant came from originally.


Same with their original haze, thats a specific F1 phenotype as well and always has been, ALL the old greats were slected F1 clones. literally all of them, and it took todd like 500 seeds to find his perfect personal clone from the same seeds you pay $50 for 10 of lol.

You dont hunt those 10 seeds, you let them open pollenate with each other, then you hunt for skunk #1 from the thousands of skunk #1 seed YOU made. thats the point of his 10 bean batches. its everything you need to find the skunk #1 pheno, but you gotta do it right to get it right. There is no other way to get the true skunk phenotype. Im like 5 years into my own columbian/afghan generationally non inbrd F1, and im just NOW starting to get thiol rich phenos this last generation. And im probably another decade at least from a true skunk phenotype and i still have hundreds of seed to get through, because im doing it the right way.


you would have to be impossibly lucky to pull a good example of the original skunk #1 from 10 f1 beans from the skunk1 genotype. Every plant is going to make thiols, but very few of them will actually be anything even remotely similar to the original skunk #1

I don’t think it’s the whole generation of boomers that keeps holding cannabis back, in fact I would say some of the strongest components for legalization are and were boomers. But in the same breath that generation holds some of the strongest opponents to legalization as well. I think the baby boomers were essentially split into two categories those who used critical thinking skills and those who didn’t. Free thinking individuals and sheep disguised as people. I think gen x will do a better job of carrying the legalization torch than their predecessors, if only for the simple fact that they have been more affected by the war on drugs and the legalization of cannabis than any generation. While some millennials and almost all of generation y and z have lived their adult lives with some form of medicinal or recreational cannabis being available. These three generations have had the good fortune of not having to break the law to consume cannabis, for the most part. Of course acknowledging that some generations geographically speaking still exists in prohibition land, although the negative stigma that surrounds cannabis pales in comparison to what it use to be.

Shell go buy several pre rolls a week if i just put buds in her jars. I gotta roll them for her to if i actually want her to save money, because she can stop on her way home in a drive thru and buy potent prerolls for $4 each lol.

Shell be going out the door, look at the jar of buds, then just tell herself "oh ill just buy a preroll to save the time on my way out" lmfao.

Shes still spending at least $50 a week on em. 1 or 2 a day most of the time. The smoke i put in her jard this month slays the prerolls shes buying too. But whatever, its her money lmao.

it would have been legalized in the 90s if stoners had already given up everything they believ in and stand up for and had let corporate autocracy completely and totally take it over. The older generation wasnt abou tot let that happen though, so it remained illegal because the government wasnt going to be able to profit from it.



Boomers helped keep it illegal yea, but its because they stand for what they believe in, my generation and younger stands for whatever gets em off the quickest and most reliably, and are incredibly easily manipulated and steered by propaganda, misinformation, and overall BS from corporations.

I just flipped this skunk1 last night. It’s got a skunky odor on the leaves.

this one I am vegging a few more. Should probably date them.V

it just smells like a leaf so far. Will flower it soon. It’s in a 3 gallon with used soil from the males the last run.
