Since I have 2 pots available ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Kicking around getting some autos ...

Got some GMO bud the other day , couple times have had a mendo or a garlic breath and really liked it, so I couldn't help myself when I saw a 5+3 pack of GMO x Mendo auto seeds , with a 3 pack freebie of Gelato OG and I got a 24.00 discount with my loyalty points ๐Ÿค‘ score!! 11 seeds total .

Just found your thread, @katraiter - looking really nice! You mention you've grown the LSD before, right? Did you not have any mold or bud rot issues? I had a couple LSD make it to the end last summer, but due to lack of attention on my part, I lost almost 100% to bud rot. I'm in zone 7A/7B and it rained at the end of the summer and was so humid. How do you handle humidity where you are?

Thanks ! I'm a newbie totally, and YES!! the LSD gave me issues definitely. Everyone got massive . I can see where that one would be a better " inside girl "or benefit from drier cooler temps . One looked like a crepe myrtle by the time it was done with it ๐Ÿคช !! I ended up chopping it down earlier than I think I should have because that's exactly where she was gonna end up. Rain , humidity, was way too much and it was too hot ALot. The threat of Hurricaine Helene I think pretty much made me stop everything and pull them all . They were the last to get cut, but they got root bound at the end and I was just tired of dealing with 6 plants. She definitely was one that could handle the rain but didn't like staying wet. Shook water off it ALot. Took the blower to it a few times , and lots of defoliation . This year I'm going to work on my LST skills, be more aggressive , pull it away from itself more. I also increased the pot size from a 13 inch pot to a 10 gallon fabric. See if I can get somewhere with it . She definitely is the slow grower out of the bunch. I ran my guys this year a month later to see if that helps . I try really hard to keep them manageable where I can pull them inside in wet weather. ( In a room with a dehumidifier ) But last year they got to tall to clear the door frame.

That's it in the middle and the second one is on the right as well ๐Ÿ˜ crepe myrtle

I ended up not getting much smokeable product. Majority of it went to butter and edibles . Experimenting with alot of it in the kitchen. And still have a bunch of it left pretty much sifted it all out in kief form.

Other things I do, is I try not to allow the plants to get roof run off , and I regularly bleach the porch where they are located. Make sure it stays dry . Free of mildew Especially after it rains. I also make sure they get a clean rinse, i Just use my judgement . Like most people think why would you rinse off a wet plant, but I figure it's no different than taking a quick shower after going to the beach or getting rained on. Just to wash off any containments .

Found my red clips ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ–‡๏ธ โค๏ธ

Was mixed on what to do with the LSD this time . Was just gonna leave it. Let it ride , but she is taking her sweet time . My new approach to the LSD plant ๐Ÿคฉ since I figure it's gonna be with me for a while . Taking the opportunity to use her to perfect my LST skills. She was really skinny super tall last year and everything was tight , super close to the trunk. Gonna try and pull her apart this year make her bushy.

Ai says ๐Ÿค–

Why "LST then top" is a potential strategy:
Some growers may choose to start with LST to encourage some initial branching and spreading.
Then, they may top the plant to further increase the number of main colas and further shape the plant for optimal light exposure.
This approach can lead to a bushier, shorter plant with more even bud development, which is beneficial for indoor growing with limited height.

Brother, you may be a newbie, but based on the LSD pic, you're on the right track!!! I grew inside for a decade and started outdoors last summer. If I could grow something that looks like your LSD "crepe myrtle", I'd consider it a job well done. Rock on man!!

My man I have grown indoors outdoors, y

I haven't grown outside since 2012, I'm in an 'other than legal' state so I have to keep it inside. But in 2012 I lived out in the boonies and used garbage cans filled with 3 year old mulched leaves that turned into straight up castings. I mixed it with lava rock and dug 3 foot deep holes to set them in. I hid 14 plants in a field this way for a 20 lb yield. My 3 sons and I smoked 4 lb and sold the rest. I have a pile of hard drives and one of them has the pictures.
