This is now on my "must get" listJust got the 6 inch fan and controller strip. I am particiarly excited about the controller, it controls basically everything through the spider farmer app. Once I wrap my head around it I will make a video. Light should be here tonight![]()
I put them in ground outdoors after they've grown in the tent for a little bit. I prefer it that way if you have a fence and then they usually mostly make it. Chip munks like to eat roots they will dig them up if they are tiny. They can get huge in ground. Will you put those into the ground outdoors? Or you prefer using pots.![]()
Thank you for following!Long-time reader, first-time commenter on your posts, Cannafarner420. Based on your last grow with SF2000, can you give us some tips on intensity setting and height above canopy during the lifecycle?
...and soil and nutes?
Thanks! Great advice. I shall try! It bugs me that the plants I have outside where temps range from 50 at night to 80 in day, big wind gusts, and get watered from 40deg hard-ass well water (or rain), look way better than the plants in the grow room under "controlled" conditions and given pH 6.5 water only. I'm growing autos. And I use soil only, mixtures of Happy Frog, worm castings, etc... The plants always start out great under dimmed SF2000, but by about week 5, I'm at 100% and 12-16", and they start looking stressed. Later!Thank you for following!
The SF2000 Is strong enough that I started with it near the top of the tent. About as high as you want to put it, leave a little space for the heat dissipate off the driver. As far as dialing in the percentages, what i reccomend is have it near the top of the tent, assuming 6 foot tall tent and turn it to 50% put a seedling in there and if it stretchs turn it up 5% at a time and wait 24 hours in between raising it. LEDs can cook seedlings. Now if the plant is super short and won't grow up then your light is up too high, do the same thing but in reverse.
The leaves when you get your true leaves will tell the story, 45° angle upwards aka "praying" before lights out means they need more light, droopy leaves sometimes means the lights turned up too high . Leaves that are perfectly flat and parallel to the ground mean that the light is.
People typically water too often and have the light turned up too high, any issue that comes up make sure its not either of those 2 things first.
Soil wise I would get a good base like happy frog or some similar base, I recommend gaia green 4 4 4 and 2 8 4, for veg and flower respectively. Get some good worm castings, I would also get rice hulls to mix in the soil and use as mulch its my personal favorite.
Probably should grab real growers recharge, it will save you from a lot of mistakes and issues you wouldn't expect it to. Then just water only don't use synthetic nutes, you can literally water only the whole way unless you put recharge in and you can grow some dank buds. Top dress before you flip to flower worhn2 8 4 and i reccomended ahead of time mix it with some base soil/worm castings and apply it like that, 2 inches is usually good. Hopefully I covered all you asked, a little tired so sorry if I misses anything![]()
