Well I am twenty minutes from Massachusetts and I can’t for the life of me figure out why they would want to do that. Here’s the breakdown of tax revenue generated from legal cannabis sales since 2019.
Since legalizing recreational marijuana, Massachusetts has generated significant tax revenue. Here's a summary of the state's marijuana tax revenue by fiscal year:

• 2019: $22,058,544
• 2020: $81,734,083
• 2021: $176,731,045
• 2022: $248,987,059
• 2023: $255,007,368
• 2024: $272,445,292
• 2025 (July-May): $264,237,649

Note: This data includes both the state's 10.75% excise tax on retail sales and the standard 6.25% state sales tax applied to cannabis products. Localities may also impose an additional tax of up to 3%.
So I guess they have a new breed of politicians that thrive on stupidity rather than money and greed. Scary stuff
1.3 billion dollars and change generated by legal weed. I would bet that the pharmaceutical industry is behind this but hey what do I know??

If you could re write the article and substitute the word THEFT for the word tax that would be great.

Remember the purpose of a system is what it does. If the system set up gets adults and medically necessary patients Cannabis products that it the purpose.
If the value from the governments point of view is revenue enhancement you are in the end stages of a government.

I feel like they would have too much trouble doing this. If you’ve ever driven through Massachusetts there is billboards for dispensaries and dispensaries everywhere. Which means there is huge commercial grows and the infrastructure for all of this. honestly kind of ridiculous. But that being said I don’t think something like this would ever pass.

Well my psychosis #1 finally flopped over its ginormous colas last night so I took the three tall colas and left the rest of the plant to finish. I looked at it the other night and I was like damn I better stake those better.
