I really want to try this, but I am not sure if it is worth it for me since I can only grow 5 plants legally.

About how much dry weight per plant can be expected? An estimated range would be perfect.
There's not the difference you might expect!
My 1st crop with 12-12 was kinda halved to plants I'd vegged in 24hrs and plants that were vegged in 12-12, at the end up some of the 12-12 had done better than the vegged plants, I didn't realise at the time but indica leaning are generally poor yeilders even with vegging.

Sativa leaning strains do best ime indica leaning aren't great yeilders but they're not great even with vegging compared to sativa leaning strains, try it once bro what have you to loose.

.5 once - 2 ounce a plant depending on environmental factors and the such.

My first run about an ounce a plant (average). This should increase with experience.

I'm not sure what the others average.

It'd be difficult for me to put a figure for average, what I could say is if its going to yeild well with a short veg it'll yeild well from 12-12, I've had as little as 12g and as much as 284g I've had tons of 100/200g

I like messing around with things, my idea here was to keep them short and compact if I got a good tester and a clone I'd be happy.

It worked out better than i could imagine so ya know i continued with this method I can't tell you how much easier it makes growing perpetually I love it 🤩

I doubt the other members here would ever go back to regular vegging I'm I wrong in saying that guys?

Is that a revenge auto lolol 😅

Awesome 😎

The quickest auto/photo/regular for me 12/12 would only flower after their branch nodes had changed from opposite to alternate. I felt that was a stage in all plants whereby until it matured to that point it wouldn't flower. About four weeks at the earliest.

Random thoughts sorry 🤠
You're correct about a stage, they won't flower until they're mature enough normally that's around 4wks ±

I'll continue to do 12/12 among everything else.

Im just messing around with everything that interests me. (The bubble hash is cool).
Dwc is coming so, Then 12/12 dwc. Etc...

Planted 10 beans for my 12/12 run, 8 are out so far, the other two are coming, a little slower, i might chop them. Don’t want any slow goers lol
Will update as time goes on
I cull and stress kill so many of the slow, smaller ones that i feel like a serial killer sometimes...

At least the genetics will be hardy.

tell them they're mutants 🤣🤣🤣
After 15 ...20 gr pet plant.
🤣
Thank you so much for your estimates. If I could average 1oz per plant that would be just enough. 2oz per plant would be ideal. I imagined each plant will just have similar yields as their autoflower counterpart.

I have a few sativa seeds and I can actually grow 1 more plant right now so I think I may germinate one now and setup a tent for it while the other 4 finish flowering. I just need to find a spot for the tent, lol.

Nice one bro welcome to the dark side! 🤪

The leaning tent of Pisa I see 😵‍💫😜🤩
I just jammed it in there. 🤣 Removed 3 tents from the closet so I can use the whole closet for my grow instead.

Yep, 2'x2'x4'. Figured that would be perfect for this type of grow. Used to do similar with it anyways. Sea of green with 4 weeks of veg. Should be similar results as those grows, I would assume.

I'm also thinking of going back to soil for this one. I have a bag of soil sitting around from years ago, that will still be good, right? I wonder if I also have some perlite lying around too. 😁

That's cool. I as ondring ho a little sog would do in a 2x2.
How many plants do you think a 2x2 is capable of using this method?

I was doing 8 plants in each 2x2 tent (3 tents grown in perpetual cycle). A bunch of 2 foot tall lollipops of course. Always ran into height issues though. First grow had plants growing into the light and one went up into my exhaust duct. 🤣

Stopped growing like that about 2-3 years ago and recently started up again, but figured I would go the legal route. Unfortunately Illinois only allows 5 plants per residence with a medical card, so doing 24 plants (plus clones) in 3 tents is no longer an option for me.

Thinking about clones.... I have a cloner I could possibly use for the entire grow. Do some aeroponics instead. Since cloning no longer makes sense for me I might as well utilize this, right?
