Went out to smoke, threw a ball of bubble hash on top of some Frostette

Yes my bowl is nasty she needs another iso soak lol

Maters simmering (we just can crushed red tomatoes then make what we want from there when we need it)

Went out to smoke and had a few flocks of geese come by

Do you do different things, like plain whole tomatoes, some diced, some gravy, salsa, juice (OMG homemade V-8... get the fk outta here!), soup etc?
Salsa will come when I finish off the beefsteaks but yes always salsa!

Sometimes I’ll do a green tomato salsa, late season maters, greens, I’ll probably fry some up

We can all crushed tomatoes them wife makes fresh pasta sauce, marinara, pizza sauce the day she’s making it

Went through some seeds last night
To send to @capone304 forgot I had a bunch of these, some I forgot I made,

Kinda had an idea what I wanted to try this fall inside the new 4x4 while I was looking through… then I just got hit with a curveball about 10 minutes ago… a irresistible seed type thing, so that may be a surprise appearance in the new spiderfarmer 4x4 and I chose a…..60 gallon bag 35” diameter and 14” deep… this shall be fun, I’m doin a peat moss idc type run, we’ll see what I end up using for feed but it’ll be in peat moss for sure maybe some promix mixed in

Gaia green? Megacrop? Fox farms? All of em? Wild run? 😜

I thought so too! I’ve had em about 9-10 months probably , just in the fridge got em in a giveaway online but company is gone was called OceanseedCO in cali but they disappeared , so it’ll be interesting to see what comes of them, they had all old landraces and old strains like 98’ bubba they were doing mass giveaways to get started up I think then musta went outta buisness, Otho l the market is too saturated for new seed companies to make a big impact unless they somehow came out with a legit undeniable skunk

End of week 1 for Frostette, stretch startin to show, she’s setting up nice for flower she’s gunna look nice in a week!

Living soil round 2 test!

Talking about soils .. this guy has a two hour infomercial totally against using compost in your grows. Of course that goes against the grain of Loyal to the Soil way ... But he is trying to sell his soil 🤣 I have a bag coming in to try out in the winter. Just for shits and giggles

does a bear shit in the woods?

cus thats where mother nature returns to the soil to keep the world active lol, worth a shot i think places are starting to feel the impact of people switching to living soil, because you wont need to buy a bag for years just recycling and organically top dressing and not using synthetics etc. now they cant sell liquid neuts and ph balancers and PH meters and all that expensive equipment thats not really needed for a home grower, they want those bag to bag growers. but for some that works well, they dont wanna do cover crops or cucle the soil etc, its really not for EVERYONE its not so much time consuming as much as just a constant cycle of what to do. with drippers it could go hands off for 4 weeks without opening the tent just refilling an outside the tent res, i mean...mother nature has raised these plants along with every other plant in existence long before we were here, im im sure itll continue long after were gone.

I gotta check it out and see what he says

And here’s ABO #2 with the open bottom bucket, she’s lookin nice as hell she got a heavy top dress with Gaia green as well as my whole build a soil lineup 2 weeks ago, as did the porch plants

It makes some sense, but he stretches it a bit. The plants to the left of him are not as picky to soil congestion (caused by compost) as the ones to the right. He also (briefly) mentions cannabis loving his soil. One of the plants that are not as picky is tomatoes, and those are hand in hand with cannabis as far as upbringing go, soil type, nutrients, etc. But he does lay down some thought provoking ideas. Worth a watch.

also hope you dont take my comment above as negative lol, just a metaphor. i hope nobody ever takes anything i take as negative or offensive

im always open to new styles, theories, methods, you see how much i try new methods, i believe anything's worth a shot, you never know if it works for you. growing should be relaxing for everyone no matter what it is youre growing! so choosing your own style that works well for you is always the most important step, if you dont enjoy doing it youll eventually quit.

thats one of the biggest reasons i try so many diffent ways of growing

Love your grows.
So, you like the big pots? What do you think are the pros and cons?
Askin' 'cause I may set up an inside grow this winter.
(the outside is not working like I hoped.)
