Add more peat? That’s the main buffer, it supplies nutrients while at the same time soaking up highy alkaline or highly acid water before the roots have a chance to absorb any toxic bs. Canadian peat moss is the tits. But the bi product of decomposing peat moss over the duration of grow usage is really where the magic is. And when you rinse, the finer particulates the do the most are being washed out the bottom of your pot.

i have more of the original batch left overs in a tote ill mix in with the stuff i rinsed along with add a little perlite. that should make up for the potential loss of buffer from rinsing?

And also, I was thinking about this too. You know when you use grow bags, they’re great you know they really are with the aeration and the amount of air that can actually get to the root zone and all that good shit you know that faster drying rate everything that comes with them is really really awesome but the only thing that sucks is the fact that the bags themselves act as a catchall and that’s why the salinity generally increases in most people growing situation because they don’t do diligence and completely rinse out just the bags because that’s the main culprit there it’s holding all of salt in like a net as opposed to washing through.
