So I want some opinions.
I want to chop this strain this week. They are already past their due date. Plus I found a touch of bud rot. Supposed to rain for 4 days. 😡 All same strain, different plants though. I see amber, but no more than 5-10% and I don’t want it to be super couch lock!

Amber means the trichomes are degrading, so if it’s showing primarily milky, harvest. (I wouldn’t give any credence to “due date”.)

Obviously your local weather is a HUGE factor. Personally I wouldn’t take down plants early due to rot. Cut out the rotten bud and solider on. IMO better to have a couple ounces of good bud than a pound of junk. But I’m also not getting rain that will take down my plants until November.

Not now but that's the future plan. I've learned a lot of lessens this year. Next year will be better.
I’m pretty passionate about growing outdoors the first couple of years was pretty hard knocks but stuck to the basics. And had a good mentor that helped me along he was here on the farm and I was eager to learn.

Do you make edibles? Sometimes you have to keep trying and things go much better. I got hit with a very heavy downpour last night went outside to check them and broken branches laying on the ground every where they look like plants in serious traction now more rain is coming I’ll keep checking them and get them wrapped up for more support frustrating but lesson learned again
Pics! Pics!

I know shit happens. But if I only get 1/4 ounce of flower after 6 months of effort I am not calling that a successful grow. I better be getting at least a half pound for 6 months of effort or I'll be disappointed. And no I'm not big on edibles I just like to smoke it.

My grow is the Story of Job. Sure I cursed out the Big Guy, but why unleash the Botrytis and inflict such undeserved suffering? It’s true that we’ve rarely crept out of the 70’s for months, but true to form, the humidity is between 70-90 for 18 hrs a day. RH is only peaking at 86 tonight so some (ever so slight) mercy. Can hardly snap a picture without noticing another rotten bud.

The Mango Haze is a looker, but taking a beating (and wouldn’t get a fly high at this point). If I get her over the line it will be a miracle.

Got the hoop house up.

Orange Gasm (started on 3/18) still has a ways to go 🤷‍♂️

The purple Triangle Mint is the show stopper, but starting to foxtail. Think she’s close enough and not wanting to temp faith, plan on bring the mints down. The other Mint (of a totally different phenotype) is taking a serious beating.

OG Kush (mainly avoiding God’s wrath).

Only another 6 weeks to go! 🥵🙏

I smoke around a half pound in that amount of time. Easy.🥱

I had the same thing happen to me. I was so pissed.....there was like a downdraft right over my plants.....flattened on twisted another. With strings an sticks i mended.

Continuing harvest, yesretday I decided it was time for Snow G so I took around 3 feet off her, this is a SFV OG variety from Twenty 20 that I’ve been growing for several years, she is a big favorite of mine. Always get a big return and she’s done in September, seeing more rain potential in a week so hopefully more are about ready

Hard to see what she is offering but…

I agree. I had no idea what the seeds were, I had no idea on exactly what I needed to do. I never really ever thought about growing it before. So now that I understand these plants a little better and what they need, and don't, next summer will be a lot different.

I'm a fast reader/learner and reading this forum and many others has helped me understand a lot.

Even though I said I wouldn't, I may give an indoor grow a try. I really want to see if the supposed Columbian Gold Landrace seeds I bought are the Gold I remember. I'm thinking not but we'll see and I may just try one indoor over the winter for shits and giggles. Then save the others for next summer along with some Freaks too, I really want to try them.

Still banking a little on the auto's.
