This morning when a couple dried out

I'm not sure what's wrong with the little cripple (front right), I think it's soggy feet. It's greened up considerably from what it was; but the tops aren't growing hardly at all. Maybe a disease... I dunno

I will probably transplant it into another cup after rinsing the roots, so I can see if my diagnosis is correct...

Can't recirculate nute water, in my experience. I made my own with a water pump and 55 gal barrels. I'll be doing it again, hopefully next month or two and will diary it

Gonna do 7x9' greenhouse(s) this Fall/Winter and diary. Got to get something up very soon for flowering plants

You can if you use Cana Aqua it’s made for it but other brands not to sure I reckon certain elements would deplete before others

Been a week since I chopped the lazy lightning. Gonna try some of this ultra sticky seed filled bud. I’m going to have hundreds of these seeds to share. edit: Ignore the red circle, that's where a $49 anti syphon valve would go...
Just a simple, 1/4" barbed irrigation 90 put in your hose above your max fill level, pointing down, back into the reservoir.

When the pump is on, a small jet will spray back into the reservoir; when the pump shuts off, air will be sucked in thru the 90 thereby breaking the siphon. Note: water will still drain both directions from the apex of the hose, which will have to be taken into account (this is also true with an anti siphon valve).

To demonstrate how this works, put an 1/8" hole in a straw halfway between the top of it and your [insert fav beverage], and see if you can take a drink without putting your finger over the hole.

Imho, this is superior to the A.S. Valve...
a) No springs, diaphragms or moving parts that can fail.
b) It helps oxygenate and circulate the reservoir (when feeder pump is on)
**side note: A second circulation pump just sits in bottom of reservoir running 24/7
c) They (the 90's) only cost .05 or .10 each vs whatever an anti siphon valve costs


I know Crazy has already heard all this and ordered an A.S. valve just prior to me posting it. (sorry bro)

I've typed all this up again for others who may be interested. I'll bookmark it so I'll have it if anyone asks.

Gonna put a pin on this for a potential swap or something down the road in a month or two. I crossed a few that need to finish in a week or two... I'd like to age and test them to make sure they're any good.

With Master Blend, epson salts and calcium it only takes about 3 days before seeing nastiness and dying. I started off using an old shower pan 3 x 4' and drained into a 17 gal tank. I thought I was so slick Drain to waste but I'm outside
