Between James Ballard and the titanic dive disaster and other stuff in the news, diving to explore is back in style. I saw a really good one on D-Day floating tanks that... didn't lol. Lots of bottom time footage. I'm waiting for more of that in VR as playing Subnautica is amazing in VR.There are 4 startups that have certified drones for 2300 feet deep and both high def cameras, sonar, and they carry smaller drones that can look closer and shoot water jets at sand and mark the area to come back when it settles.
They are tether operated and can be 15 kilometers from the ship that launched them.
I think a lot of the treasure still in the water will be found soon. People seem to be throwing a lot of money at the problem.
