There are some simpler versions were they dont connect to anything and the readout is right there on the probe. digital and analog.

I have to make a decision..... I'm pretty sure my plants all have a virus. There are lots to choose from, but they all affect growth and yield. Now, I'm not concerned about yield, but I want healthy plants. Don't know if the seeds were the carrier or if it was in the potting soil. I guess the only way to know is to try again. Hate losing 5 weeks of grow time, but maybe I should. What do you all think?

Well here is my 2 cents.
By week 5 I have already bounced my light max down 2 times. This is NOT a mistake. It is a procedure where I move the lights up until the plant presents a warning for lights.
By week 5 I have ran the pots ( all of them ) to water stress presentation. I let them dry out to reset the tare weight for the plants.
By week 6 I will water the plants ( all of them ) to slight runoff taking a good long time. This shows me how the dirt is doing and allows me to target to 90% of runoff weight.

I Have 9 plants left. Some of the plants looks like that when young. All of them are growing out of the variegation issues and a few plants that had some wind burn issues are mostly on lower levels and are still looking like shit but still growing.
I am running the plants at 79 degrees as this is the highest temp I can control the environment properly with minimal changes in temp and humidity.

Question? When you close your tent and leave it for 3 hours what is the minimum and maximum temp and humidity for that 3 hour period ? Just looking for a rate of change issue from environment as there are 35,000 pictures of early veg at 5 weeks that look like yours and I don't think they all had a virus.
Now, I know it's an expense but as they actually get results back pretty quick a tissue sample can be sent out and pinpoint any pathological issues in the plants.
For us growers, not so much.😎

Thank you! Temp. varies from 73 at night to 78 during the day and max. humidity is 60%. I do not have a heater 'cause I figured the lights would warm the tent, but at 40% it kind of is, kind of isn't.
I figured a virus because of the mutated seedlings. 2 out of 10 seeds seems like a high percentage for a genetic deformity. They were from 2 different vendors, but put in the same paper towel to germinate.

I take it you think I should let it ride. Just wondering if the light has something to do with it.
This past Spring when I started my plants inside before planting in the garden, our house was 35-45% humidity and 70 degrees under an LED shop light. Never saw this happen, and I had alot of plants. hmmmm

Looking to help. What are the minimum and maximum numbers. If you need help navigating to the screen I can help.
The crinkle twisted plant has came up in a previous grow for me . It was a overwater issue from the neem drench. One plant was just not able to shake off a liter of water at 12 days old. Now I know to use stickys to keep them in check until the plant is big enough to live through the cure.

Plants aren't 100 percent but not that bad looking to me.

I'd keep growing and don't nail the plants with treatments. If in a couple weeks if things go sideways more you really lose 2 weeks, not 7. The first 5 are already finished.

Do you have a light meter? Kinda required with led’s imho. These things aren’t comparable to shop lights or old school hid’s
I read your seeds are multi sourced but I’ll drop this pick anyways. Genetics, this gal will show split leaves dying and thriving. Outgrows it by flower for the most part

Disclaimer. Ive barely scratched the surface of cannabis knowledge. I've focused on organic soil using slow release dry amendments and autoflower. That's my lane for now. I also haven't read the entire thread.

If you said these are 5 week autos whats wrong? My answer would be poor soil saturation the first few weeks.

Possible, but I have abused plants in many ways from germination up till harvest and have never had all showing the same symptoms.

Thank you! That pic and your experience makes me feel a little better. And yes, I need to get a light meter. Do you recommend one? Or an app on my new android phone? Yes, I finally bit the bullet and switched over. LOL

Thanks, I think I will. Just have to figure this system out a little more.
Starting seedlings in the house under a shop light to go outdoors a month later is so much easier.

If it's viral it's probably some kind of mosaic, and those are probably akin to them having the plant equivalent of herpes/cold sores. They should grow okay, maybe some minor stunting but will flower and smoke just fine. You just don't want to be breeding and propagating them because your right, nobody wants a plant with herpes 🤣

If you keep them, make sure you sterilize any tools that come in contact if they're used on other plants, and get rid of the dirt at the end of the run.

I scratched the dry surface and just underneath is damp. Not wet.

That's good. Early in development if their roots hit dry areas it can stunt them and even trigger flower. The balance is keeping the pot saturated from top to bottom but not over watering. You don't want the dry back to go too deep in the pot.

I am so silly, they've only been in the tent for 2 weeks. Seems like 2 years. 🤣
Damn, I get so focused on the minutia, I can't see the big picture sometimes. This being one of them. 😉
