Me neither. What sorcery is this and how would it work better than a slow cooker?

Everything I've read says 250F is the best temperature for decarbing and after years of making butter and oil I have to agree. Toaster oven set at 250F with flower wrapped in foil for 30 minutes. CBD takes 90 minutes.

I've found not breaking down the flower works just as well (the hot oil is going to incorporate the trichs no matter how the flower is added) and it's much easier to remove from the oil. 1 gram flower to 1 ounce oil or butter.

Oil and flower in a jar and the jar in a water bath of a slow cooker on high with a lose fitting lid for 3 hours.

Once extracted I toss the flower and keep the oil in the fridge and make caps and use for cooking. So easy even I can do it.

This keeps temps perfect and powerbill low .you set a number and it doesnt move.lower temps perserve terps but take longer to decarb i think you can go as low as 90 or 80 you have to look it up i am bad with numbers

With the oven first you dont know where the knob is unless its digital then the heating element is hotter then the room and top is more bottom is less its a few degress of guessing.this works with water soo everything is same temp. And vacume baga make more contact surface. Its like a begginer frendly machine.yours probably works the same just more hassle or not...

Oh and the room doesnt smell at all unless you cut the bag open then you get hit with smell.thats the biggest perk of this

I made rosin this year and all the pressed stuff i cut in to small peaces and made cookies it worked amazing.

I always cook outside on the patio and I use a thermometer with my toaster oven😉 and a digital thermometer to check the temp of the water in the slow cooker, which I buy at second hand stores for $10, same as the toaster ovens. I use to get them for $5 so it's difficult for me to shell out $50 for the sous vide and another $30 for a container/holder😉

Well if you allready have stuff no need. But if you didnt have anything i would recommend.with your termometer do you have to sit next to it and turn it off somethimes to stop the temps?

As for the container use any cooking pot or a bucket weed is in the bag no contact with the bucket water

I sous vide in mason jars. Decarb weed in the oven first, then stuff into jars, add oil, place in pot with water up to rings. Set temp. to 190F, timer to 2 hours, remove and gently shake every half hour.
You want stronger, pour that oil into a second jar of weed, top it with more oil and process again.
Repeat as necessary. 😁

Why dont you decarb with it as well?
I am new to it used it 1 time only but i am in love

I've tried decarbing at lower temps to preserve terps. but I'm never sure if it was all changed or not. I do know CBD is a harder nut to crack and needs higher or longer temps. to convert.

Yea i have the same problems allways thinking did i waste products haha.
As for cbd i know it likes bigger temps but never reaserched it had no interests.

I used to not decarb at all in a rice cooker just 1h coking and done it got you high but was it the best no idea probably not.

Yea his way is good i just cant have the weed smell last time the whole neibhourhood was talking

I haven't tried it yet but what if you put it in a 'turkey' bag? Maybe in mason jars in a turkey bag? 🤷‍♀️
But, you would have to open it, eventually.

Ohh man that reminds of an episode of X-Files from back in the 90’s where kids were taking LSD and somehow wandering into a giant microwave oven and getting boiled internally.

Glamour shots of the 2 banned from the big tent.
Both of these almost died and the smaller one was a day from being culled do to almost no new growth.
I gave all of the wet ones a helping of ocean forest after the nemetode soak to re establish a biome. Pretty sure it worked.

Also have decided that autos have a place in my grow tent. I will still do photos in the big tent but 3 autoflowers trained like I do will fit fine.
Prolly do 4 if I could rig a system to catch condensate from the humidifier. I got ideas but no real motivation at this time
