Me too. LOLThis is the best thing about this place. I get to just listen to others and watch them make the mistakes I would have made.
This way I get to make all new mistakes.......

Yup that's a bane outdoor growers have to face. And speaking of Gilda and face.Nothing I can do growing outside. We don't normally get rain this time of year so no way to plan for it. I was expecting a drier year overall as we have a La Nina weather pattern which usually gives us 70-80F New Year's day. You've all seen the Rose Parade or football game. We've got clearer weather coming up.
Growing outside there's always something...

No pollen to be found. No sense spraying in the rain. I'll compost the one i sprayed and allow the other two to finish and hope to revisit.
Been a shitty week for growing in sunny so cal![]()

It's dry out here.My tomato garden went to mush in the rain. Yesterday I figured I'd salvage the snap peas, hit em with citrus spray, got worried about the weed so I hit them too and now they're gonna be pissed at me for a couple days.
Yeah usually just a couple days of nasty we have to deal with and pretty nice the rest of the time, But 100 mph winds last year and 9 inches of rain in just a couple days this year, it's been a bunch of bullshit. I say that now but we had a pretty sweet climate for this season's primary harvest window. Didn't get blasted by those consecutive 105° days right when the plants are stacking. That big parcel of land where you're at is a sweet spot for climate. You're protected from frost by the ocean and the plants thrive with those late morning marine layer burnoffs.
