I use to read most of the paper every morning and about 40 novels a year. Since my first purchase of a laptop that all ended. I read the news on my phone these days every morning, afternoon and evening and haven't read a book in decades. I’ve got a couple of John Sandford novels, my favorite author that just sit collecting dust. I've bought a couple of 5" Amazon handhelds strictly for reading novels but I just can't seem to adjust, but I bet today I read more than I ever had in the past.So what have you read lately.
My local digital library must have a scifi fan. They have sourced about $1000 of Warhammer 40k and a bunch of series from the 80's and 90's. Complete series and even some omnibus books that will have 3-5 of the series in one printing.
This is my read for today.

The Great Devourer has appeared. Tyranids on the move. It will take much sacrifice to prevail.
I'll be the one in the Monkey suit.I am in.
I'll be the fat one.
I sleep in a chair in my bedroom and my dream is a 40 inch screen I can read books on in my chair on the wall at eye level.I use to read most of the paper every morning and about 40 novels a year. Suddenly I fully understand how Stephen King dreamed up an arachnid that cross dresses as a creepy clown. Tell me I'm not the only one who sees... "IT"![]()
Or not. I do think I am psychic a little. That only happens when I'm stoned as hell. I think I can see the future. Yeah. I'm baked as hell.

Living in a digitized world. I am in a similar position. Use to have book shelves loaded top to bottom and side to side, completely stuffed with flyfishing literature, everything from fiction to reference books full of information. I also saved all my magazines too.I use to read most of the paper every morning and about 40 novels a year. Since my first purchase of a laptop that all ended. ∆∆∆∆∆Yes, I too can see into the future. Tonight I'm gonna get baked as fuck.
I live near Pease Airforce Base, well what use to be a full on Strategic Air Command base, until Bill Clinton shut it down during his tenure as commander and chief. Growing up we used to have all kinds of cool military aircraft here, now it’s just a National Guard Refueling wing, but recently we’ve had some cool jets in the area either on training runs or maybe they’re realizing the gap that was left open when they closed the base. All last week we had a squadron of A-10’s patrolling the skies, and way way up high above the clouds Ive been seeing some F-35’s. It’s refreshing, something different then the usual KC -135’s , C130’s and C5’s that we normally see. Here's a cool screen grab for ya. The X59 is a NASA test platform for supersonic flight without the sonic boom. They took it out for a spin today.
OK, fine, I'm making Brownie∆∆∆∆∆
Wants this problem.
I live between Camp Pendleton and their USMC's Miramar Air Base. We get them all through the year. So many gun ships and jets it's almost as good as or better then the old air shows in Orange County I loved before El Toro Air Base closed in 1999. They do still have the air shows in Miramar but just too loud and way too peoplieI live near Pease Airforce Base, well what use to be a full on Strategic Air Command base, until Bill Clinton shut it down during his tenure as commander and chief.
