And I bought my Pinto Runabout used in 1975 for $1800. We were newlyweds and the bank wouldn't loan us money because we both had changed jobs and addresses. So we went to the credit union and they thought we were a good risk. And expensive. I bought my first car, the magical/mystical/pot mobile Pinto, for a 20th of that.![]()
Awesome. If I may ask. I’m newbie and struggling somewhat. At what point do you take your seedlings and place them in the ground outside ? I’ve also heard that once the tap route shows and you place them in your soil. You don’t really have to add any nutrients. Would you agree with that? Thank you for your time. Not sure Bigal, but some are going with my friend to her cottage up north. Her neighbor watches the house when they're gone and loves my weed so why not.
Today I finished cleaning up the beds, then sprayed biofungicide on all.
Can't wait to put them in the ground.
Nice!Today's adventure with the young'ins. Transplanting Autos.

Could be the black fabric is super heating the soil. The male I had in a plastic pot didn't like being in direct sunlight, once the soil in the pot got hot. Partial sun was fine.@Beazy I went out back to spray the plants and found Sunshine Daydream all flopped over.I sprayed her along with the rest and will look later to see if she's recovered. I checked the stem and didn't see any damage. Unfortunately it may be something going on underground and tho I'd love to dig around down there I think it would make things worse.

I looked up your critter and google calls it Spotted Cucumber Beetle, and thay are bad news. Not only do they eat holes they also carry disease like bacterial wilt. But I also read that Neem will take care of them. Good work. And 5:30AM? That's a little too early even for me. LOLMe too cpur, i sprayed my plants early around 0530 with neem mixture. I have these little yellow dotted lady bugs and something else chewing leaves. Then i mixed my mega crop part 1 and fed them, i top dressed them on Mon. with worm castings then it rained real good. Now it's summer hot temps in the 90's and getting hotter. My plants are loving it for now. I've got 2 seedling autos i'm vegging indoors for abit longer before transplanting them in only 3gal bags LOL and black ones......so ya know i'm watering 1 maybe 2x a day when they get outside.
Yes 3gal is small but what the hey? I'm outside most the time piddling around and don't leave town often so i can do it. It's the size i use for them indoors also. Aren't we tied to our grows anyway?? I mean how many of us leave for weeks on end during summer when we grow gardens? I'm pretty boring nowadays LOL.I looked up your critter and google calls it Spotted Cucumber Beetle, and thay are bad news. Not only do they eat holes they also carry disease like bacterial wilt. 3 gallon pots are pretty small for outdoors, but hey, if you can keep up with it, why not.![]()

Must be electrified and have razor wire. When I get this last set of Autos transplanted, I think I could leave for a couple days? Daughter in Chicago is dying to show me her new fence. LOL
It's funny, she told me she thinks it makes her yard look small. (city lot)Must be electrified and have razor wire.![]()
Hey gal, that yellow spotted beetle might be a 14 spotted ladybug. I just found one on my plants and asked Google what it is. It's a good bug and eats aphids just like the red ones. Do they look like mine?I looked up your critter and google calls it Spotted Cucumber Beetle, and thay are bad news. Not only do they eat holes they also carry disease like bacterial wilt.
