Ok here is some room porn..
Here is the veg room I just finished that will soon house my TopDawg seeds! I will paint the doors white with killz and line the inside with visa/queen plastic this weekend.
These are little more than boxes screwed into studs, made from thin sheetrock. I used spray foam to make it all air tight. The main veg room is 8 feet long by 40 inches wide. That green fan is a 4 inch active air inline fan and I mounted a hydrofarm tower of power on the inside so I would have no trouble plugging stuff in. A 2x4x8 runs along the top, screwed into studs for easy hanging of lights, cords, or whatever I need. Oh I built three little rooms...clone and 2 veg...
The clone room is in the background of the first picture. I have a 2 foot T-5 for that room that I use to clone. The fourth picture down is a look at the clone room before plastic is put inside.
The third picture is my second small veg/mother/father/whatever room...
The last shot is in my flower room. That is a light rail mover and slave trolley with 2 1k hps lamps hanging from those chains over white 4x4 flood tables that rest on pvc supports. I took the picture above the lights to reduce the glare. Dont hang the lamps from S hooks like in my picture! Its very dangerous! Dont ask me why we used them....
Before setting up a light rail light mover, I never was able to picture what it all would look like, however, I hope this picture of some dual lamp action can help my fellow farmers to see a light rail in some of its glory. Tricky to vent the hoods, but it can be done. One mover = two lights for me, and I would use only one light rail mover for one lamp if thats all I could manage. I will use light movers for the rest of my career! No exceptions whenever possible.
The rail is screwed into a 2 x 4 x 8 foot or better a twelve footer, which is screwed into the ceiling (into studs). The little moter travels, stops and pauses for a whatever amount of time you want (best I think 30 seconds to no more than 1 minute), then reverses direction. This can be done for any distance you want up and down the track.
The second light hangs from a slave trolly that has no motor and costs only like 20-25 bucks. It moves because of the six foot long steel rod that is between the bars, that is bolted to any length you want.
One light mover with one lamp is amazing...this set up with two lamps is sick sick sick!
