What does this have to do with the thread's topic? Or even MMJ? You're literally a day late to be talking politics.......... it's over. Hopefully we don't have to hear this crap anymore!

I think politics is always a valid discussion. Did you click the link and read it? What do you think?

I posted it because it's funny. Obviously it has nothing to do with anything, this thread is the closest I could find to a political-type thread, and it doesn't exactly deserve it's own thread.

Once again; out of sight, out of mind. The majority of people don't want to see, smell, or know about marijuana. They want to be happily naive to the situation. This is basically why I FEAKED when I saw the first dispensary in denver. I knew it would end up imposing uppon my caregiver rights. that's why I started looking for a place out of Denver right away. I doubt many small towns and unincorperated parts of the state will ever have caregiver zoning. Grow it in the sticks, sell it in the city, farm to market baby! Screw zoning regs, it's called a carbon filter.

what a jackass you are to use the word specious here. Give me a fucking break lady.
Ok, I'm not going to name you, but I am going to take this on directly and publicly since you felt the need to jab but not add a single fucking thing to any of these debates.

It is not my fault that you're not keeping up. I used the word "specious" because it applies to the arguments that I have read from the person I quoted. If you have something to add to the debates, please, do so, publicly, instead of like a... well, instead of in the manner you did. It's much easier to take you on that way.
:)

Jodie Emery Was on CCM Last night, and she was saying shame on the growers and mmp that did'nt vote or voted no. She said they're all profiteers. Either way I live in Tx and I was hoping to see it pass. The DEA's War on Drugs (Cannabis) is hurting everyone.
If it's legalized yes the price would drop a bit, but there's alot of money tobe made on it that's slipping through the cracks or going to the Cartels and Mafias'. California was'nt the only one to benefit from prop 19. Our Economy needs this. Ultimately that money' goin in the wrong pockets. This is a sad day.

Strange how the rest of the US is pissed california didn't pass prop 19. I'm glad, prop 19 wasn't legalization. It was a money making scam by richard lee. It would have passed harsh penalties for not complying with regulations in prop 19, taking more freedom that it would have given.

If the rest of the country wants it legalized so bad then stop whining and go do something about it America.

People in Cali can buy a med card and go buy weed, why the hell do they need it legalized, just go buy the damn card already and stop yer bitchin. It's a good enough compromise. If you don't like it move to florida for a year and I guarantee you'll be MORE THAN HAPPAY to go buy that med card once you get back.

Geez..

what needs to happen is weed needs to be dropped from the schedule 1 listing

peace

hmm odd I always thought that was a federal deal - I know the AMA had a push to get the govt to reschedule

it is a federal deal, it's still federal schedule I in Iowa no matter what Iowa says. Colorado petitioned the government to reclassify marijuana as schedule II whith the passing of HB1284. I dunno if Colorado really did it or not but they said they would. Now if California could do that instead of prop 19...

the AMA? (I think this was pre AMA doctors) told the US not to make marijuana schedule I in 1937 but the government did it anyway. The AMA wants it schedule II for sure.

I'm not sure if I've told you directly before, but you are an awesome resource for local knowledge at the caregiver level. No homo. Local caregivers who post at other sites poopoo new growers while people on this site embrace them for the most part.

19 didn't pass because of old people and conservatives. Until the pro-legalization crowd gets the vote comparable to those two demographics, nothing major will change. Old people vote, potheads don't.

As the older generation stops voting (being polite), the younger generations will become more progressive with regards to drugwar reform.

If I may stereotype for a moment, it's difficult for old people and conservatives to admit that the drug war is wrong, when racism is at it's roots. Pot was made illegal because of a 'fear' of mexicans, opiates were made illegal because of 'fear' of asians building the railroads, etc etc. Younger people like me don't share those 'old-school' core beliefs. I grew up with openly gay friends, emo's, band geeks etc, people the older generations never came across.

Just my two cents.

So just how "old" is "old" to you?

Anyone else want a vape of this Geritol bud? ;-)

Pass that shit! Damn man that D you posted looks nice!!!

Hows your Centennial gear going so far?

I believe the MMC's made a lot of enemies with 1284 especially caregivers. This is just the first wave IMO of restrictions on MMC's. They lost a lot of needed support from the mmj community.

It tempts me to change my signature to the following:

"Youth and Enthusiasm
Are No Match
For Age and Treachery"

Better hope he dies before he grows old, that's all I'm sayin'.

We have been looking at the voting results data and based on rough extrapolation of the data, here are a few tidbits:

* 24,973 patients are affected by yesterday's vote (based on 115,000 patients in CO, the latest estimate from CDPHE).
* Washington County is completely covered in bans
(thx B)

I really think the level of landslides (75%) that were witnessed in this race show what happens when people are not educated on cannabis. The close races (El Paso, Eagle, Mesa) were ran with advocates, while most other close races were small towns/populations, or well publicized (aurora, fountain) <which can foreseeably lead to greater populace education via increased awareness, or highly social functioning communities>)

I believe only Loveland and Broomfield lost at a landslide level, and had any educational/ pro-mmj advocates.

My point is - lack of unified & coherent educational program was an issue.

I'll update the Centennial thread later, sshfan. Been slackin'.....LOL.

And the D are still kickin' it hard. The filter is having a hard time keepin up! Sluuurp!

As far as the old/young stuff..... my sig should say "I've forgotten more than I remember"

I DO hear what he was sayin' about the old views, but when ya step back and think about the fact that there are 60-70 year olds (and beyond) who have not only smoked weed, but who tripped acid and had lifestyles goin' on that the kids today can barely suss as they "emo" and "jackass" (and they are that stupid without Ludes? WTF?) and believe, as we also did...that a whole buncha what they are experiencing/feeling is something new that no one else ever felt/experienced before.

same shit, different day.... LOL

Well all I can say is dont come to Tx and get caught with bud, not if you value ur freedom and hard earned cash. MMJ maybe helpin other states but not here. We cant even get MMJ on the ballot! So yea I'm pissed P19 didnt pass. I have to live in one of those states a full year to get a drivers license etc.
So I guess what I'm sayn' is I need a place to live guys! WILL WORK FOR WEED!

Advocates in Eagle County? Not that I am aware of. There was a strong, basically "lone" voice that cried out against in all the papers, but as far as any organize patient base...I'm not aware of any....

seems like most folks just wanna hide away quietly and not be noticed. Even the comments in the newspapers are sparse and those can be made with anonymity.
As far as the public meetings...again...very sparsely attended by patients/etc.

I'd love to see something get going tho. A good patient network could serve many purposes. The challenge is finding the right model and getting the word out...and obviously, getting folks to join in and be active.

I'd be happy to eat my words. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to those who paved the way for what I am doing if someone posts something that argues otherwise.
