jumping microscopic bugs

this is going to b my second grow with these f n bugs.. they r white but almost look shiny, and jump like crazy. ive tried almost every thing to get rid of them . but it seems i do the most damage to them by tearing off peices of duct tape(lol) and layn it on top of the soil. icatch a few hundred per peice of tape. nothing else seems to hurt them..any advice would b much appreciated.. ive treid d.e.,sand on top of soil,sqeeter dunks,peroxcide solution,and now using spectreciede in veg.

they seem to b some kind of gnat larve. but not sure what kind. got sticky traps every where also , catch n a ass load of fliers

i have just overcame a severe case of gnats and root aphids myself.. i used the spectracide as a soil flood at 8ml per gal and added 5 ml per of the bayer tns... i would use a doctor dome bomb during lights of to knock down the fliers and then soak..after a week in a half i have killed off everything...I used some raw potatoes, sit slices on top of coco and within an hour they would be covered with larva..Now nothing, no fliers NADA...i do know when i take everything down i will be doing a massive cleaning and bombing of the room and also spraying down as much of the house as possible....i tried the h202 with no results and thanks to a few farmers on here i am winning this battle so far.....check out my post under unhealthy plants...fishhunt416....these people know there talking about...good luck bro...oh yea dont use the bayer tns in flower it stays with the plant for 60-90 days... again this has worked for me.....

first off i wana thank every one fo stoping in. springtails? not sure if thats what they are, but that kinda looks like them . may b the good pic is throwing me off. when i watered today they were in groups in the tops of my planters, thier were alot jumping around. so mayb thats what they are... as far as azamax or azatrol i have not tried that yet. mainly because the hydro shop near me has a 30% mark up on that shit. so it looks like i have to order it. i think i will keep do n the spectreciede soak in veg and order some azatrol. i was tryn to start a prepetual garden but these bugs are slown me down. im ready to start takin some cuttings but i dont wont to expose them to this infestation..

leadslead if you dont mind i would like plug you for some info..i checked out your pics and noticed you had some bubba in there. i found someone else that had that strain and they mentioned that it was kinda picky. i couldnt find the thread again to ask m more about the bubba. im workn on a second grow with it and a out door venture with it to coming up. seems like some of them cant get enough nitrogen i mean whole plant yellowing almost off white.

just in case, fungus gnat larvae do look very similar. they start out as small specks that will show up in the top of the medium as you water. eventually they turn into gnats and you will see small black flies buzzing arounds. You should get some sticky traps and that will help capture em to identify em.

hey quick note

diatomaceous eart will f#@#$% up anything with exoskellton in 48 hours most say that it dont hurt gnats because they fly but they have to land to lay eggs it works even with bad infestations just reapply after each watering and use tiky taky bords there is also these round disc mosquito dunks from summit just crush them up and sprinkle on top of soil they are for the larva it took 3 apps. of diatomaceous earth took them out am using taky bords and dunks for continual protection hope this helps none of these will hurt the plants at all dunks are biological and diatomaceous earth is just a tiny sea shell that shreds insect exoskellton and drys them out

Odd... maybe it's just me, but I found the pre-98 Bubba cut I have to be very easy to grow and not very picky at all. Same with Loran's Orange Kush, and even more so with the Orange Krush (that girl is super easy to grow for her Cali O-ishness).

sry guys but i couldnt get the pic to upload. im gonna try to put a pic of one of my sticky traps in my gallery....leadslead i think i do have some fungus gnats,just not as bad as them little jumpers . i have only seen one of them little worms (larve). and on the de note i did 2 treatments to the top of the soil and in mysoil mix 1 cup of de to 5 gallons of soil. then covered the top soil with sand and that prosses seemed to kinda work but my plant showed signs of stress. and i think what i read about de is that it only works on soft bodied bugs,but i could b wrong. i still have like 5 pounds of that shit (de). leadslead...give me a day to put together some pics of my bubba girls. one of my buddys is on me to start a diary on another strain i have on hand that he hooked me up with(lemon og #18). the story on the bubba i have is that the couple seed i ended up with came out of a bag that came from nor cal. when we were on vacation i got to meet the guy. i should say i feel very privlaged to meet this guy. when i asked him how i ended up with a few seeds. he said he tried a light dep project on a plant and it pollenated itself. so then if there is any truth to that mayb i ended up with something good. im not gona let her go..i have bread her once,took clones,and kept a mother.my people have said that this strain is the best they ever smoked. all i know is this seed came from the triangle,and they dont fuck around there. stick with me guys,im tryn to get my girls up to snuff so i can show m off alittle...

ok so you guys can make fun of me any time...lol i busted out my scope and went in the flower room, grabed a piece of that duct tape i set on top of the soil. looked at it under the scope and what the hell fucking springtails.............1000s of them stuck to the tape

Ahh... I don't think you're going to catch many springtails on a sticky trap hung above the plants. They're soil critters.

seamaiden...so what you are sayn is that springtails dont turn in to flyers.. if i took a pic of the duct tape all you would see is the tape cause i dont have a camera good enough to show them on the tape... the sticky trap is a refrence to the flyers..im positive they are springtails. looked at them with a microscope i bought to peep out trics. i came to the farm cause i was told the people here are more respectful . pic me apart if you like..i hate typing and love growing...these bugs have caused me to type way more than i like too.
