Well,

Thank you to Pisces Genetics for the freebies and THCfarmer for making it all possible..... I hope this is the right place to make this thread, if not please move to freebie grow diaries.

But I just couldn't help my self but pop these two PURPLE PYGMY seeds as I am interested in many of Pisces SAGE combinations and would like to try a little for myself...Will keep you posted with lots o :sign0005:.

I have a pack too and am very curious. Good luck with your effort. I hope all goes well for you.

So what is purple pigmy?

Jimmy, So what exactly is purple pigmy? What ever it is sounds like candy! Thank you in advance for your answer. monkey5

The description I originally wrote for the Purple Pygmy pretty much says it all...

Purple Pygmy
The Shorty, a fast flowering, purple-tinged indica hybrid from Humboldt County with virtually no stretch and a sweet, berry/citrus smell...crossed to the Affie-dom SAGE male. Fast flowering, and great for those with height restrictions. A percentage of plants will have purple highlights.
genetics: Shorty x SAGE
smell/taste: berry, citrus, piney, earthy
flower time: 50-65 days

About 5 or so yrs ago, a guy I knew came back from a trip to Norcal with about 20 seeds he saved for me from a bag of herb he bought while out there. He said it was the best tasting stuff he tried. From what I remember him saying, the grower told him it was something like a blueberry/purps/urkle hybrid.
The phenos I found in these seeds had a lot of variation as far as smell, but about half had a similar smell profile that did remind me of the smells that the Purps and Purple Urkle put out. A few had a slight lemon/citrus smell. Every plant was very short, they had hardly any stretch in flowering. Quick flowering too...most were done at around 50-60 days. The female I used for the SAGE x's was my favorite out of the bunch...really nice lavender/grape/piney smell and flavor, and a happy relaxing stone...I wish I still had her!:worried It looked kinda like a very squat version of Urkle, with some nice purples in the buds and leaves.

The SAGE male had a nice spicy-piney smell and was a short afghani phenotype...SAGE's parents are Big Sur Holyweed x Afghan.

I'm looking forward to seeing how these turn out, 2DogWalker...hopefully at least one of the 2 seeds is a female, LOL!

i poped my pack, there about 4 weeks old, 3 1/2 more weeks its flower time, ill get some pics up in ah thread also, cant wait.
Jimmy based on your description, would you say, its great outdoor bud?

Up to Date

I must start out by saying a horrific accident happened the other day, and Purple Pygmy #1 Dropped Right on its head.....It did not survive. However I will be starting a replacement seed by this weekend I am thinking. But Purple Pygmy 2 is a live and thriving to this point.....Hopefully she is a girl :) A pic - shes lonely but she has 5 White OG friends and 8 new baby POW x RMH Friends to hang around with.....

Thanks for stoppin in...I will keep pics updated. If I get a female from these I will probably flower outdoors, possibly one or two inside. I will keep it posted :)
