3 New Crosses- ECSD/G-13 x NYCD/G-13, KQ x G-13, Ch AK47 x Chem4

I began my grow journal, (aptly described by one member as “a car wreck”- ie a tragedy that you can’t take your eyes off of), at the beginning of the year w/ these 3 F-1 seedlings that were laid on me by my friend and associate, a seasoned breeder who knows most the players on the big stage and has more projects in the fire than I can fathom. He’s working on at least one project w/ member/breeder Motarebel, at least, that’s what I heard a few months back. In other words, these are the result of some serious work and not some capricious pollen chucking that I might be party to. Frankly, I don't know who's doing what. I just grab the gear as fast as I can when it comes up, grow it out the best I can and save my questions for later if/when I remember them.

ECSD x G-13/HP x NYCD x G-13/HP​

Looks, smells and feels like this is going to be a wicked one. The buds are dense, resinous and their setting up rock hard On a density scale of 1-5, Skunk#1 being a 3, this is a 5- rock hard like the urkles I run. An overall, strong, reeking fuel smell at this point.
Did nothing to this plant other than standard lower/inner pruning and stripping.

KQ x G-13/HP 42da​

The KQ x G-13/HP pheno has an excellent structure for indoors- one of the best that I've seen. This one is a 2- 2 1/2 footer w/ a large meristem cola w/ lower side branches that grow out and up towards the canopy forming a short, wide cone or xmas tree giving the buds a lot of exposure. I got the unmistakable smell of pine- a pine forest after a rain, 2-3 weeks ago and it's hung. This is also a very sticky plant- not the gooey thick sticky, but light and very tacky like glue stick. The calyx to leaf ratio is the only concern - it seems a wee bit leafy 2 me) but it still has a couple of weeks for the buds to blow out.​

Also did nothing to this plant other than standard lower/inner pruning and stripping.​

Cherry AK-47 x Chemdog #4 45da​

This one hid it's flavor until week 5. Black Cherry fuel and I caught a hint of coconut over the past couple of days which would be phenomenal if it sticks around- Cherry-Coconut. In any case, we definitely have a solid Cherry Chem coming along w/ this one.​

If you hang around long enough, you might get lucky like me and meet some people who have great taste in genetics and are willing to share their years of planning and hard work w/ you-or- you can shortcut the process by finding the breeders at this site that are working w/ the strains that you like and wait for a drop. I took a dbl barreled financial hit a year ago, (had to close my room for almost 6 mos among other things), so I' did a lot of drooling but not much shopping in 2011. Fortunate for me that I have a good friend who is a primo breeder that kept me stocked up w/ some cool shit.

I grow organically. In a nutshell-
substrate base: coir, ricehull base, dried mineral mix- 6-7 different mined minerals balanced for staggered nute recycling, soybean meal, crabshell meal, oyster shell flour;
fish/guano/kelp etc. etc. teas;
Cap's bennies, (avail on site)

WINS, (water insoluble nitrogen) program- a natural way of time-release N (and other macro/micros) in soil mix. Soy bean meal is my primary in soil N source. The various granule sizes provide the time release.

Water soluble organics- outside of the meals just about all of my nutes are micronized and H2O soluble. The smaller the material, the more surface space the microbes have and the easier it is for the -anions to find the +cations. I can foliate, fertigate or could grow in an H2O substrate w/ the nutes I have. Couldn't do that w/ organics 5 or 10 years ago.

I could go on and on and on, but no one, including myself, wants to hear a circuitous, boring, long, drawn out nute rap.

I think many a grower who was showing off his new gear would be pissed off by that post, at least, in these here parts. People who know me know that I like to joke around and satirize shit, but regardless of whether or not I like someone elses work I'm respectful and I don't jerk off on w/ mental graffiti and treat it like it doesn't matter.
