What do you all prefer, rolling one up or fire up a bowl.
I prefer a nice joint anyday over a pipe. With a pipe you inhale exhaust from lighter, pipes are hard to keep clean for a nice fresh hit a joint is better IMO. Last glass I had dropped and broke after 2 weeks...
Theres only 1 person Ive ever seen in 42 years of puffin who can twist one up as good as I can. Weve both have lots of pratice and am sure between us many thousands have been spun...

I use Amercian Sprit papers in the blue pack, buy em in bulk...
Its all good, but give me a nice fattie Sky and or Chickenman style anyday...

I prefer bowls all day. papers kill my throat, if joints raw papers are the only way to go.

the things i can negatively debate why i prefer a bowl

The paper burns, feels like im wasting herb
the further down the joint, resin buildup and gunk - in reality im sure this with the constant heat of the lit joint is no better than any resin in a pipe.
if its rolled fucked up, IE i didnt roll it (LOL) or if it wasnt properly ground, or for whatever reason... chances of it not burning correct and losing herb,
sharing. i love smokin a j with someone random but i cant run the lighter over the tip to sanitize.

PRO bowl:
to your exhaust comment - i use bee line, have for years. no butane, and a great taste. furthermore the "paper" taste of a joint isnt something i look for.
extremely easy to keep clean. turn on the hot water with the bowl under it in the sink, come back in 5 minutes. poof brand new.
I like how i can switch up flavors. bowl of this, bowl of that, always get the full flavor. and speaking of full flavor being able to pack greenies of bowl you want people to try gives them a way better testing IMO over passin a lit joint.


however, i will agree if out and about J's are the way to go. easy to conceal, light and relight, roll a couple diff kinds.

both are great, but in the matter of choice, glass all day.

chickenman I agree, there's nothing worse than taking a hit and tasting butane......

I like using ceramic lighters,like the Embur and Herb Iron
Both work well and are windproof ,but the Embur is totally portable.......

Spliffs are great for simplicity and portability:)

Bowles all the time here, bong or a brass pipe is what I use most of the time !!

Bowl for me. Love to roll a good J (it's a dying art) but will ultimately get a burn in the seat of my truck. Some how somebody will drop and ash on the seat and now there is is a burn mark, not with a bullet pipe. They are easy to clean, just soak in alcohol once a month or so. Also, hate ash trays, what a mess. Never noticed a butane taste. Wish we could have a joint rolling competition, every body used to take so much pride in their joint rolling skills.

If we are counting bongs as pipes, I'd say bong all day long. I love to pack a onie and rip it in one hit, or snap it as my nephew would say. Butane? Ever tried bee-line or hemp wick?

I do love joints. . .both rolling and smoking, but I prefer joints for out of home occasions like concerts, camping trips, and car rides.

The bee line is Kool no dought i use it myself , but that line is also a fire hazard . I hate the butane and the sulfur from match sticks makes me wanna erl.

joints here and master roller i must say.... thou i do feel it is somewhat of a waste of weed , just cant be bothered with the whole pipe , lighter thing , plus i never feel like i smoked enough or no when its gone with a pipe. Also on them rare occasions that i don't have any weed (because there is no damn dispensary around here) always good to pull out the roach jar for back up .... imho

Joints here....

Elements or Club's. Since going to the 'Dam in 2007 I've been rolling my joints using a "crutch"/rolled-up "filter" and that has ended the wimpy hit/running joint/roachclip bullshit of old in a big way here. Roll em fat....barely gettin' that gum to wrap to the other side.....and spark that fatty UP! BIG hits all around, baby!

My problem with a bowl is that bowls are usually dirty when you wanna get high. If I use a bowl/bubbler (and I have a bunch of em my son left me...) I keep that bitch well salted/alcohol'd/clean.... cus a dirty bowl will fuck up months of work pronto and make everything taste the same after the first hit to me......and dat ain't good.

yes..joints waste weed..but I grow weed to have weed to waste and be wasted... so there ya go!

Bahahah, now thats my steez. I currently don't even have a pipe (though one is getting crafted up), and usually like to just roll some roadies. I tend to roll too tight tho and when i have folks around don't mind just rollin up a blunt (old habits die hard)... along with rolling too tight i tend to suck at crutches. This often leaves me handing a 1/4-1/3 joint away due to resin build up lol. And yes SH- bring on the hash doodles.

If ya wrap a fattie more weed to paper ratio. Quality papers are best.

i really like those. they're cellulose right? they burn consistent,roll well (seem very "sturdy") and i like how you can see the herb in it! HAHA.

EDIT- the one thing i do HATE about those is how they like unroll if you dont have sticky saliva... end up like holdin it together sometimes LOL

I love bubblers! Bongs pack too much of a punch for me. Joints and pipes usually end up hurting my throat, just too harsh. I will use a dry pipe when I am doing a road trip though, easy to toke on while driving. I always will roll a cig. pack of joints if I am flying somewhere. I break the filters off the cigs, put the joints in the filters and make it look like a pack of cigs. I vacuum seal the pack a couple times before putting it in my luggage for the stink factor.

I really dislike joints though because it seems like there is always someone around who can't control their spit, and slobbers all over it, and then I almost gag when I go to take a puff and its all covered and someones cold spit. It always makes me wonder if those types of people give gross, slobbery kisses too.

Honestly tho....I rarely smoke weed in the car anymore. Too sketchy/smelly....

however...if I were to do such a thing (smoke in the car) I'd most certainly use my trusty "Hash bullet"....which is rarely out of my pocket or empty these daze....
