UC System Yields and Pricing

Interested in your thoughts as to which UC systems are best for 50k and 100k watt commercial grows, and what the actual cost of the systems are.

What yields can an expert grower shoot for with the respective systems, i.e. per bucket weight estimate? I'm mildly confused by the differences listed on their site except for the obvious module sizes...

Experienced on a commercial scale w/ 5 gals rdwc average 1/2 # per bucket, 2 buckets/light. Looking to maintain an 8 week flower schedule.

You might be looking more at 9 weeks till you get her dialed in, but with good yielding sat dom hybrids you can do as much as 2gpw+.

50-100k is on the smaller end of commercial facilities, but 13's @ 500 watts per will do you well, your looking at about 20k w an upgraded air system.

air upgrades are needed for larger systems because the design specs for UCs are based on small systems...

anything commercial will want a blower, 2-3 inch pvc air frame and 3/8th hose/diffusers.

mostly based on the friction caused by excess psi in a smaller framed, higher backpressured system.

they offer everything but the blower, though a few al 200s will work as well, which they do carry...

If your only getting 1lb a light, id look at changing up other things. Running OG @8 weeks might be where your mising out. Should be more like 9 or even 10, Alot of weight is put on at the end. Not that i havent had OG close to done at 8, But its ussally 9+

We run 2 buckets/1000W light. Do you run more than 2 per light?

I know your running low numbers so its harder. I run 4 pots ready grow, hand water every other day, and get minium 1.25 but most time 1.5 and im changing a few things hoping to be over 1.5 every run, maybe 2. I went from 7g to 15g pots and a increased my screensd from 20x20 to 24x24 and spread my lights out to 4.5'x4.5'
Do you run half your numbrers in veg? Or go straight clones in? I veg 6 weeks in the veg room and have nice plants go in, veg for a few days or few weeks, depends. I also scrog every plant to have a full canopy under each light. I guess depends on how much your set on 8 weeks. I need 10+
I dont do hydro so maybe my comments dont apply. lol Im sure the UC will up things. and cut veg down.

i realize its hard to compare apples to oranges but UC runs start to hit "success" around 3 per light and are killing it at 4, 4+.

Not even worth it to talk apples and oranges really, right?

He is spot on with the OGs though, 60% of their weight and potency happens between weeks 8 and 10.

I keep thinking i wamt to set up a UC and then talk my self out if it because im lazy and what i do is easy. lol I know if i run a Uc im going to have to put in some major time and research.

6 weeks veg in buckets, appx 8 weeks flower. I'm just counting weight as the final product the medpatients want. Do you think I'd be better off adding in more buckets to my flower rooms? we veg 25% more buckets than we actually flower, so we only pick the winners. the 25% leftovers become mothers or trash.

DS, you're referring to 3#s per 13 gal site in the UC or 3#s per light?

500 watts per site, and yes, 3 strains in that grow did over 4.

when we did it with one i kept my mouth shut. the second time i hinted about it. Now that we have repeated results with over 7 strains i have no problem openly talking about it.
