So this room is 9'5" x 9'10" with a ceiling height of about 8' at the highest point and 7' at the lowest. The sloped roof is south facing. The plan is to remove the corrugated roof panels and replace them with double walled polycarbonate panels. I had considered corrugated poly panels but I think fighting heat is gonna be my biggest concern so I think the investment in the double walls will be worth it. The floor is patchwork over dirt. Im gonna pull it up and lay down weed cloth underneath to prevent weeds from growing up thru it. Also probably fill in the gaps under the foundation while im at it. Im also going to paint the interior white, mostly to keep the wood from absorbing too much moisture but I guess it would help with light diffusion also. Im going to run 6 plants in 65 gallon smart pots (too big? I already have em that's why). Im going to put 2 vertical lights in cool tubes, either 600s or 1000s (opinions?). I have a 20k btu thru the wall A/C im going to mount to so it blows its hot air the adjacent storage room, Ill also vent the lights into this room. I figure the plants will probably get about 4 hours of direct sunlight mid summer but having never done this before I really have no idea. The plan is to run the lights before and afterwards to give them roughly 12hrs of good light. I cant run them too long cuz I don't want this thing being a glowing beacon, I have neighbors about 150ft away. Id welcome any input or advice from anyone who has done this before or something similar. Im in socal desert area but around 3000' in elevation so it gets hot but cools off quickly. Max outside temps are usually 95, with a few 100 degree days here and there. The building is actually double walled, with exterior planks and interior plywood so hopefully thatll help too. Oh, and theres an existing 100 amp panel, and a water source on the exterior wall so easy easy there.

This is what im thinking of using. Any issues with using 70-75% diffused transmission instead of the clear 95% transmission panels? Im trying to keep heat down and my shed not tooo weird looking.... White panels are a lot less conspicuous than clear imo

I can't advise you on the panels, but I will suggest going with 600W lights. Also, you'll need to control photoperiod if your plan is to supplement the natural sunlight with the HIDs. To me that means light deprivation. Also, you'll need to calculate when to turn those lights on and off (and if you light dep, then when you'll cover and uncover).
