The "Reason" He / We can't "Not be Involved" is because He opened his "Big" mouth, on the fly, with no advice from advisers and Syria called his play... That and the U.N. "Always" looks to us (United States Bullies) under these circumstances... It's A "Put Up or Shut Up" for Big Boys... Or "Go Home" and Obama's "Credibility" is Toast... Simple as that.

I don't remember voting the United States in as the Worlds Policeman. So far throughout history every empire has been toppled. Why are we any different, especially the way our so called leaders are running things. Kind of scary!

You don't get A vote, Always been that way... Fight for the little guy and the big one "Democracy" It cost us A pretty Pennie and we get "Zero" in return... (No Respect from Russia, China, Iran, Korea, Syria, Egypt, did I leave anybody out?) Hence Obama's "Lead From Behind" policy that he was told wouldn't work. No respect in the Middle East and you are "Done" I feel for the guy but His own words came back to bite him and when the "World" is watching you can bet your life Obama and his actions will not be taken as lightly as they are in the U.S.

I would bet "Everything" that Obama is being Educated right now, to put it politely. Life as A "Community Organizer" and 2 yrs in A Senate that does "Nothing" doesn't really prep you for the issues he is facing now if you get my drift...

SoCal, I've perused the articles you've posted, and while they complain about wait times, they're not giving any numbers that I could immediately pick out.

Either way, the way we're doing it here in the U.S. isn't working and hasn't been working for a VERY long time.

Much appreciate your point of view Seamaiden and am well aware that A News Paper Article is up to individual interpretation but the fact that A Canadian Organization has been operating for 8 yrs. or more for the sole purpose of tracking and documenting "Excessive Wait Times" in the Canadian Health Care System (that they are part of, and the country they reside in) is A Slam Dunk from my point of view... Perhaps your time would be better spent looking at that organization posted / referenced previously and their "Validity" as opposed to the article itself if the truth of it all is what you seek? :) Best of luck in that, Truth seems to be an "Elusive" thing to find these days... ;)

One more observation from me about the US now that I am out of the forest.
In the US people have layered themselves differently then other countries. I see myself as a Man first,then filter it down to a family man/an American/a Charger fan/a conservative american/a republican/a californian/etc,etc.
I see the US citizen thinking I am a republican/a conservative republican/and then putting his fingers in his ears,and closing his eyes yelling pretending nothing else exists.
If you are not with me you are against me, or worse you are my enemy. No compromise,nothing. Not one important bill has been past in over 20 years.
I knew the US was in trouble when I told my friends down here the shit is really going to hit the fan when Bush said it was ok to put a US citizen in jail,with no charges, no access to legal consul,with no public knowledge,and to be able to do this forever. And that torture was OK. Not one fucking protest. I realize that 3000 people died in NY, it was tragic. But I have a lot of warriors in my family who died to protect our rights,I know my pops would be turning over in his grave from our lack of backbone. We are walking on the same path as the Romans. But I believe their run will have been longer then ours.

I get where you're coming from, but perhaps another POV would be that this group is necessary *both* in order to improve things, and once done (like the anti-smoking campaign and how they've turned their ire onto e-cigarettes), to help ensure that issues such as patient wait times don't get out of hand again.

I waited FIVE MONTHS to have my ACL replaced. Not repaired, replaced. Covered by health insurance through my husband's employer, and it took five months. During that time the joint capsule built up scar tissue, causing my knee to become locked in a slightly bent position. That exacerbated my old back injury and caused a whole slew of new problems, which I still suffer to this very day. My crooked ass got a whole lot crookeder, and it didn't need to be that way, but it became so because I had to wait so long for so many insurance approvals. I should have been imaged the day I went to see my doctor and had the surgery done within two weeks. Not this half a year bullshit I went through.

Is there a corollary agency or group here in the U.S. for people like me?

That doesn't answer the 'you' with regard to your previous post, it's rather cryptic, or accusatory, however one may choose to interpret it. If your suggestion is that I 'choose' to believe in Obama, or have supported him in any way, you're incorrect. If you're referring to a larger, more general 'you,' then I still fail to pick up what you're putting down, because I really haven't read many here who are in support of what's happening (guaranteed profits for insurance companies).

Misunderstood the question... The "You" I referred to previously is A Generalization of the people that blindly follow A leader (Obama) because he says it to be so... Promises Everything, Produces No Results... All Talk. Another way to look at it is "Supporters" of "Obama Care" if you choose to go that route... He (Obama) made it the "Law" so deal with it Freaks... Take the leap like (lemming) in the youtube video peeps...

We tried that with Social Retirement savings...remember?

^^^^ Good One... That is Exactly why Obama Care pisses me off so much. The way it was done is just one step short of Barack Obama telling A Democratic Senate "Make it So" There was absolutely "Nothing" in any way, shape or form with "passing A Law" going on there and people just ate it up.

I hear and agree with you sky and yes i did know they all opt out of the programs they FORCE on us,this is a huge part of the problem,shit would never be this way if it affected them like it does us.Look Obama is my president too whether i like it or not and i have to say he sucks at it,does nothing he said he would and gets us deeper and deeper every day,dude cant seem to make a good decision and people say ''give the guy a chance?"How many chances does he need?The guy is about to rain down cruise missiles in syria on thousands of innocent people and children yet he comes right out on TV and says we will not target pres Assad or other members of the ruling party?WHAAAT?target those son of a bitches,they are the ones giving the orders to use chemical weapons not innocent people,Just what we need another war we cant pay for and that really is not our business anyways.Obamacare is a joke just like almost all the rest of his policies so ill choose NOT to just give it a chance.Maybe its just me but i dont see president obama helping anyone in this country but himself.

We have not had many politicians, let alone presidents in decades who will stand up the the men behind the curtain. They are nothing more than a figurehead portrayed by the smoke machine in the Great and Terrible OZ's throne room.
