I recently discovered this Orgone/Orgonite stuff that the crystal healing crowd is all about. . . Metal shavings embedded in a non-linear matrix of resin, with a crystal embedded in it. Theory is that as the resin sets, it contracts which squeezes the crystal thereby creating a piezo-electric effect as all quartz crystals produce energy when compressed. They claim that Orgonite possesses all sorts of healing powers, and the ability to charge an area with positive energy as well as nullify negative energies that may be present.
Sounds crazy I know! The basis of this is research done by Wilhelm Reich, who discovered and named Orgone energy. I don't know a ton about it but I am gonna make my own piece of Orgonite with a crystal I have laying around, given to me by a friend who got it in the california high sierras.
Proponents will claim that orgonite affects plant growth, and can restructure the crystal lattice of frozen water similar to those experiments showing that positivity influenced water to freeze in fractal patterns and intricate pleasing geometric shapes. They also claim that orgonite battles harmful EMF frequencies from cell towers and the like. . .They plant these devices near cell phone towers and such. They even say that sometimes when handling Orgonite, black helicopters will show up and cruise the area as if they had detected something on radar or something. Crazy stuff!
I am not endorsing this, just bringing it to the Farm table for the enjoyment/enlightenment of my fellow Farmers. I'll let you know if my own orgonite I am gonna make, has any noticeable effects on seed sprouting that is what I plan to test it on.
One thing that is related and has been proven, is the effect noted by Russian scientists of pyramids built with non-linear (non-metallic) materials. These pyramids, ranging in size from one foot to a hundred feet tall, produced interesting effects such as drastically increased plant health when seeds were sprouted in a non-linear pyramid shaped greenhouse, and miles-high columns of energy projecting upwards from the larger pyramids that were tested, actually interfering with airplane instruments and able to be recorded with frequency detectors. So I have some high hopes for orgonite, at the very least it will give me some good conversation starters next time I meet a foxy hippy chick! Haven't got laid in the longest time, gotta fix that maybe i will call my own material Orgasmite LOL!
