No, not if you've got decent buds growing. I would double check to make absolutely certain of the following:

Timer operating properly
No lights like LEDs have become exposed
Meters are operating properly
Then, I'd start inspecting closely. If it's just a few nanners they shouldn't impact overall bud production. The second issue of course is seeding, but that's fairly easily prevented by spritzing with water after plucking out what nanners you can find.

If they start popping true male flowers, then in my limited experience with that kind of full-on hermaphroditism, the female flowers stop growing/building, and in that case, your best course of action is to toss and start again. Otherwise I say keep them going, pluck & spritz.
Thanks for responding so quickly :) This is so disappointing, they were looking so good! So far only nanners and no male flowers that I can see but will keep looking. How much light is too much light indoors? I had an outdoor plant do really well despite streetlights, full moons and neighbour yard lights with no problems. Inside, there has been a little indirect, filtered light but nothing at all like the outdoor situation. But, I will tighten that up and go for pitch dark at nighttime. I would rather keep going. I just grow for myself and can cope with some seeds. I won't blame genetics as I have had some stress problems as you know.

Just pluck the nanners as you find them, and spritz with water to make sure that IF pollen was released, it doesn't have a chance to set seed.

Hi Seamaiden, Happy New Year. I put the worst one with the most nanners outside in the sun and will leave it outside. It's been in the 70's lately but never gets too cold so I am curious what will happen. It was about 30 days after flip and nicely flowered. It's looks like it is still growing well but I wonder what effect the days getting longer will have. Will it finish flowering or stall out? Here's what it looked like last week. It has filled out a lot sine then.
I kept the others in the tent and I can see some nanners on those as well. I picked some off tonight but my eyes are getting old and the reading glasses aren't the best for examining plants. Oh, the indignities of age.

The days lengthening will cause it to stop flowering and revert to vegetative growth. If it's filling out, I might bring it back inside or restrict the photoperiod to match what you've had it on, or you'll ruin the buds that have been building. But... man! That is Banana City! I've never seen such dense growth of the bananas while the bud actually continues to grow. Unless the smoke is the most bomb-ass smoke you've ever smoked, I'd say she's *not* a keeper.

Actually, if it'll fit under a trash can, that's what I'd do. Pop a trash can over it for the dark phase, pull it off for the light phase. If it gets a bit too much dark that shouldn't be too much of a problem,. getting a bit too much light will cause it to revert.

Where you go with Mr/Ms Banana City is up to you.

I hear you about the glasses! I finally went with bifocals.

Here is a more recent photo. It's looking pretty good at 40 days and still packing on the pounds and I don't want to chop even with the bananas. I guess it will be banana split time :) I will let it go and see what happens. The days are still shorter than the 12/12 it was on. It's sunup at 6am and sundown right around 5pm right now so it's less than 12 hours of daylight but the days are getting incrementally longer each day. If it was an apple tree I would expect the apples to stop growing but they would still ripen over time. It looks like it is finishing faster as the hairs are browning more. I'll keep you posted on what happens.
