Just transplanted

3 plants of 200 are showing serious leaf curl. Looks like its shriviling up to die.

Some were showing signs of mag def before transplant. Is this extreme mag def? Or maybe phos or potassium def?

I think I've been over supplying calcium. Tap water and calmag may have pushed the Calcium too high.

Thanks

That doesn't look like any Mg- I've seen, and I've never pushed Ca so far that it causes a toxicity. I'm thinking it's a P uptake/utilization problem. Have you examined the roots of these three out of 200?

Yes 2 days ago when I transplanted. Plants were wet and then I had to water them when transplanted so they became a little overwatered. Been using 6.0 ph. 75f 75rh. 50/50 coco/ perlite. Teas. Seaweed. 6/9 micro/bloom at half strength.

I never see a cal def but always a mag def in coco. Not nearly as bad as when I started with fresh coco. This time I reused it an should have supplemented just mag with Epsom and not calmag. I use citric acid for ph down for better P solubility. What would lock out P?

You know, I can't answer that question, but I do know that P and K being off can affect Ca. Have you taken a look at my charts (linked via sig line)?

It's REALLY strange that only 3 are doing this out of 200. For some reason now I'm thinking about Star Trek Voyager. Fucking ADD. Where were we? K and P in relation to Ca and Mg. It's a balancing game that I have problems calculating mathematically.

How were they looking at transplant? If you're using MgSO4 for the Mg then it'll basically rinse out if you give a few low EC flushes. I love Fox Farms Big Bloom for that, but the teas you're using would also probably be very good for that.

I've gotta admit, it's odd. Maybe there was a glob of something in that particular little patch of coir that they got...?
