Running one 400MH with two strains-purple wreck & Sour D. Having lots of fun so far but noted that several of my fan leaves now appear 'burnt". Using HN Oneness nutrients and water PH'd to 6.5. I might have used too much Onenss is my thought but really I just dont know. Would appreciate any insight ya'll have.

Where on the plant did they come from- all over- only top- only bottom? If lower down I'd say serious Ca deficiency. Honestly, it appears there are 2 or 3 things going on. If you head down to the infirmary there is a readme first with a slew of questions that will help this get answered properly.

I don't know anything about your nute line....

The bottom and middle is where this leaf came from. I just joined THCfarmer today so appreciate the direction- will head to the infirmary!!

Welcome to the Farm, looks like a Ph problem to me on my first guess, Check the calibration. 6.5 is high for me during veg I like to stay at 5.8 / 6.2max but each set up is different.

Ok I'll do that. I always thought that 6.5 was average but dont think adjusting down would hurt at all. Thanks

I don't use Ph pens , but like Canappa said 6.5 is a little high. If your meter is off say .3 even you could be hovering close to the pH where iron and manganese start to lock out causing some issues. You would be safe walking your pH down a little to see if it corrects. Best of luck farmer!

Thanks guys. Ran out today and bought some PH down for my water and will aim for 6 from now on as all the threads and farmers appears to be having that as a 'best practice' that produces real results:)

Try and get some calibration solution to make sure your pens on point. I always have a second pen to double check aswell. Pics with them little orange rust spots looks like a calcium deficiency to me. I would give them ladies a good flush before feeding again. Cheers

...yeah man, you don't mention what style of grow you run but i run coco hempy's and i feed KISS style with nothing but Jack's Pro Hydro and their calcium nitrate as my nutrient line, ...anyway, i don't bother with my ph pen anymore and so now i only use a drop test kit and with this i shoot for piss yellow and call it a day.

...and there is no 'best' ph, per se, meaning that if you grow in soil your target ph should be around 6,5 - 6.8 and if you grow in hydro or soil-less hydro like coco or promix your target ph should be closer to 5.5 - 5.8.

...something else worth noting is that the elements in your nutrient profile are taken up by the plant at different rates and some of this is controlled by ph, in other words a little variation in your ph is a good thing and will allow your plants easier access to the full nutrient profile.

...that's how i understand it anyway, i'm no expert, just a dedicated stoner with an abiding need and almost a decades practice.

...my point being that you should also be digging into old threads and maybe exploring other forums, this hobby isn't new bro so any problem you may run into will have been covered MANY times over the years so trust the advice you get from guys like me and those other posters in this thread but also verify it independently from other sources, the more proactive you become the faster you will get a real handle on this wonderful hobby.

peace, bozo

Almost a week later, flushed with Ph'd water @ 5.8 and they look great!!Heading to flowering now and the humidity is thicker at 65% and man is it starting to really get sticky n stink lol! Thanks everyone for the tips. It does appear that it was a PH burn with lockout. Appreciate the time & thoughts.
Now, anyone know of a good & small (but cheap) CO2 system?

...do yourself a favor and get a few grows under your belt before you think about CO2, i've been at this for 8 years and i still don't bother with it.

Droopy leaves on the ladies can be from a few things over watering, under watering, ph problems. If they bounce back from the saggy state within a day or so I wouldnt lose any sleep but if they dont level out I would be losing crazy sleep till I got them girls lock out issues on lock down. They dont look too bad either man I seen alot worse bounce back. CHEERS

Plants look freaking crazy good now!!It appeared to be overwatering. I noted that the sour D really does not need as much water as the Purple Wreck strain. What a huge difference there is in care just between the two! The flowering is on track with some great bud growth( overall growth is also crazy -I did not to expect this) and I have moved to using Flora Nova with a touch of Cal Mag+ and am just going by the rec's on the bottle. Any advice on using nutrients on these two Strains ( Purple Wreck/Sour Diesel) ?
