Hey guys, I have read a lot of different bills and amendments that have and haven't passed. I am hoping someone can summarize it for me.

The reason I am asking is because I am a mmj caregiver here in washington and have been for years. I have finally made it to the point where I can afford my own place in a cheaper area that has a nice big basement for a garden, but it requires an hour commute to work, not to mention prices are dropping more and more each year for flowers. Just not to long ago I was easily able to get 3200-3600 for a lb of really nice flowers, now your lucky to get 2800. Plus we just had this 502 pass and it looks like they are going to pass a bill that will reduce our limits from 24oz and 15 plants to 6 plants (3 flowering) and 3oz. Plus they will eliminate collective gardens which is our way of growing multiple patients plants at a single location, and also eliminate dispensaries.

I am particularly drawn to your state because from how I understand it the dispensaries are purchasing from patients, and the housing market is pretty strong for the buyer/renter, and MUCH cheaper than it is up here in seattle.

Thanks in advance!!!

IMO... A lot of dispensaries are looking for cheap quantity rather than quality. Not all but most. I talked to an owner yesterday at a friend house and he said he likes to by at least 10 oz of a strain at a time and pays 1500 for them. I smoked some of motas valley g with him and he wanted to buy the rest i had on me for his personal smoke.

Funny thing to me is they buy garbage that's premature for cheap then want 15 $ a g for it.

To be honest....Michigans mmj laws are all over the place.....What dispensaries, You'll prolly dealing with provisioning centers, ohh unless they reschedule to other than schedule 2 then we can get Canadian cave grown meds. Stalled bills, fast tracked bills....They have made it crazy here imho.

Uh dude, it's Michigan! You will be going in the opposite direction of most people. I would not move from PNW to the chilling cold and dreariness of Michigan. Sorry to my Michigan brothers. Nice short summers but long cold winters. There are some really cheap properties around Detroit but it looks a little rough right now. Take a look at rural California in the Sierra would be better. Some reasonable properties if you look around. Growing cannabis is going to be a little unpredictable over the next few years. There will be large operations putting out a lot of weed. They will drive prices down, down, down. Will it be good? We will see but probably not as good as what you can grow on your own. Growing your own you get all the choice flowers to pick from. Dispensaries pass larf and lower buds mixed in with top flowers.

I'm from cali and probably wouldn't move back there. The competition between growers in nor cal is insane... Most nor cal growers bring their crop all the way down the coast to central and so cal. Nor cal is a little to rural, so I would probably want to be in the central part of the state which is just too expensive.

The problem with the PNW is that over the last few years the market has been flooded with mid grade indoor, and outdoor from cali and oregon and prices have plummeted regardless of quality. Plus we are about to have our medical marijuana system much more limited and you could only flower 3 plants for personal use if it gets passed.

We have long winters with no sun over here, and I am fine with snow. Plus with the housing and commercial properties so cheap there are so many more options than out here.

To put it plain and simple I am looking for a state where I can start a garden servicing multiple patients and vend extra meds to "provisioning centers" starting from a residential location that is not going to require lots of expensive hoops and hurdles that I cannot afford at this time. As I see it there is you guys, washington which looks like the medical laws are going to be greatly reduced, california where although it is nice, there is LOTS of competition and it is expensive to live, and oregon which can be rural, and wholesale prices are cheaper than up here in washington.

How are the summers in MI, would love to get some land and grow some greenhouse herbs?

Ya know that exactly what happened over here. The worst is my buddy when he rolls in with some absolutely top shelf cookies and people compare it to their out of state outdoor and say "bro I get this stuff right here for 2000 a lb why would I spend more on yours?" haha and the worst part is, is that if the price is right for the patients (usually 8-10 a gram around here) they will blow through the crappier bud

Hears how it works hear. Pot shops / Clubs / Dispenseries are ILLAGLE. Yea there are a few that are still open. I would guess its becouse A. They haven't got aroun to raiding them, or B. They ain't got any money worth raising them for, or C. All of the above.

With that said, it is illagle to sell pot outside of your 5 pataints. So good luck with that becouse all the pataints seem to think that there intitled free weed becouse all the money your makeing growing pot and selling it in the black markit illagly.

So there really is no protection hear. NONE. Other than you can grow your own and a hell of a lot of it. You just can't sell it. :/ so no selling of pot!

Now there are a ton of mother fuckers that would love to tell you differant. That's becouse reality sucks some times, and dealing with the truth is not always easy for some people. Living in a day dream is just more comfertable.

With that said, prices are descent you can still make a killing if you don have any qualms about breakin the law and being a criminal.

That said if you really don't give a flying fuck about the laws. Shit man. Come on over there is power in numbers. :)

Peace

Is it illegal, or is it a grey area? Because technically what I am doing now in washington is not explicitly legal, BUT I am paying my taxes and staying within my numbers. and from looking at weedmaps, it looks like there are quite a few dispensaries still open.

and from what I see on their menus, Michigan needs more weed. I see lots of menus with VERY little hash, and quaters going for 90 plus. No pics of the meds, etc.

Provisioning centers aren't legal yet, they got held up at the house. All u can really do is provide for your patients legally right now.

Pretty much in MI you have 72 plants, 15 ozs. If u get pulled over dropping overages off with more then 15 you're fucked 4 year felony. 15k to get out of it and only if u have the right connections. Otherwise depending on the city in MI cities like to throw you away. That's my first hand experience right there.

But if u plan on harvesting and delivering 15 at a time you're safe. Cops like to pull u over for nothing though so be careful if u break it.

I moved up here over 2 years ago, with the grand thoughts of being able to grow legally with no worries and life would just be great. BULLSHIT! What a waste of my $ and time to move to this fucking shithole of a state. Hypocritical politicians who don't give a fuck if you're sick and don't think the people of MI are smart enough to read a law and vote on it. FUCK THIS PLACE...MOVE ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS SHITHOLE CALLED MICHIGAN! That is all....MGG

DUDE ITS ILLAGL! Supreme Court ruled no clubs. The bills for clubs are stalled. Also consintrates are illagle. That bill is also stalled.

Mi gov signed a bill for big pharma to come in and take over. Candian Shawg company is setting up shwag grows in abandoned coal mines or some shit.

The stores that are left are there becouse they want to stand for something, am the biz is slow as fuck. Also if you got to hustle to them, there prices are gonna be as shity as what your getting any were else. 28 on a pound maybe less.

The only thing mi has is we can be high and drive.

See but its also illegal over here in washington, we only have an affirmative defense when growing and possessing, but our med law says nothing about dispensaries selling of extra meds.

That bill is only to take effect if the federal gov't reclassifies marijuana as a schedule II controlled substance, which is probably a ways off, and by then, hopefully they will contract with americans rather than prairie plant systems.

Thats kinda how I was thinking things went. Same thing over here... and different cops think the limits are different. We are allowed (at the moment) 24 oz per patient at the maximum of 3 patients.... BUT most every one stays within their personal 24 oz limit when delivering meds.

MI. .....making sure not just the whole country thinks we are a joke but reassuring it's residents it's a joke.

We got shit laws and people like Kwame Kilpatrick and shit Republicans get voted in. All we need is some racist fucks (even more then the kkk that meet in howel) and call it a wrap!

the summers here are gorgeous dog. their the best anywhere I ever been. we have a 10 week window grow period in the summer. that's flowering fyi. the winters are long and cold. get a woodstove, chop ur own wood, or barter bud for firewood is good too. hehe. the electric companies are attempting to go unchained from the gov, so I don't know yet what that means for competition, but I see no compassion there now, other than getting locked in to a winter protection program. (set rate pay). I'd get out of seattle and come to mi myself, seattle is too bogged down, and mi is still fighting her good fight. we need voters in favor of our mission statement. we need our peeps to vote for real. housing is wide open, cheap as fk. stay rural, and be happy. don't bring no pnw pm with ya. keep that funk in yo rain dome. lol. been an od grower many moons in mi, and season is upon us. we are readying our clones now for planting. I'm still an old outlaw grower from the era of 'don't tell anyone shit'. til I can fly my freak flag in my own yard, I'm not playing whack a mole in the wait n see game. I am the game!! haha. plenty of room for another voter is what I say. peace my brother...outdoor all natty fatties just 4 u...
