Veging with cfl bulbs? or t5 strips? wich is better?any help is awesome!

hey guys trying to setup a sea of green with 6 1000watt hoods ,i wanted to just bloom with the 6 hoods and make a seperate veg room, would i be better off veging with cfl bulbs or a couple 12 strip t5 pannels? or maybe something else entirely? any input or suggestions is greatly appreciated! thanks!

you wanna veg for 6K w cfls???? how?
how big is your flower space, and how big a veg space? if doing only SOG, you'll need less veg space than if you train bushes. but 6K is easily 12x8sq/ft canopy, and i like about 25-40% space for veg as i do flower, and you can just rock t8's over the clones and other stuff that you dont want to grow quick and fast.... cfls have horrible penetration

sorry just remembered you said 12 strip t5's. dude those are the biznezz, i'd rock two of those in a 5x5 for veg or something, with SOG and smaller plants you can easily have enough room to rock 6K

Love t5's for veg. I think of SOG as a high # of plants packed tightly in a space, typically grown single cola style. No topping,lst or training. Maybe a little lower clean up if needed. If this is what your going after I personally would veg under the HIDs. For a high plant count SOG from clones there would be very little veg time. The time saved in veg=more crops annually! That's just my take on see of green!

what do u think the best medium for sog is if im not using hydro,.. is ther somthing better then promix hp soil? im using 2 gal smart pots too cause i have a lot of extra ones laying around is that a big enough pot for sog? im either going to hand water or setup a little water system with a pump and a big res.

I use t5 badboys for veg.

Sog with soil... I haven't tried it, but I think soilbeds would work for you.

T5's are ok...but, you said you have a bunch of 1000's. Why not just veg under one of those dimmed to 400w or 600w...they will veg faster. Once I started vegging at 600w (onset of the very first set of leaves) my T5's haven't left storage.
