4 walls, a door and lock. Would that be considered indoors.

I'm not 100% on your local laws but here in Canada greenhouses are classified as indoor operations thru Health Canada. They have yet to even step foot on any licensed properties I have worked in my three years with a valid prescription. You know the one time you double up on the plant count tho they gonna show the fuck up ha ha maybe that's just my luck.

Here in my particular county in California, the supervisors sat there and agreed that enclosed in a GH with power is considered indoors.

Does your state address that at all, anywhere in the legislation?

No it does not.. All it says is indoors. I have heard a lot of mixed responses

Sounds as though it wasn't considered and therefore is up for interpretation. That doesn't help you or other GH growers at all, does it?

Here's my take, though, based on my experiences out here dealing with local 'authorities.' Assume that a GH is indoors, then take steps to ensure that it's as close to secured as an indoor scenario as possible. Use solid materials that can't easily be cut through, fenced, with surveillance. Treat it like a... I think the legal term is an attractive nuisance.

Thanks seamaiden you are the best! I like that attractive nuisance haha

Me, too.

Hmm... should I bring the seamonkey back?

The problem there is that if it's not codified, the attorney can't really offer up a legal opinion beyond doing what they know 100% will keep their clients safe.

So I went to the doctors the other day and got approved for my medical condition. They were pretty clear in saying out of public view and under lock and key. So I am gonna rock the greenhouse for a little as I meet both criteria, thanks for the input.

I have heard it said before that if a greenhouse is a PERMITTED structure they must consider it indoors. Now considering that the county/city cant resist permit money it should be easy to get one even for a hoop house as long as you jump through the inspectors hoops and they think its for veggies/food production. If they got an inkling it might be for MJ though im sure they would try and throw a wrench in the works as everything is open to interpretation, lol.

Does his area require permitting for a GH? I don't know that mine does. I know we're supposed to pay a tax on any felled trees because this is timber preserve country.

Not sure sea, usually agriculture buildings are exempt(at least in my area to a certain size)but with MJ everything goes out the window.
