ITG,

dont sell your meds too cheap b/c the savings will not get passed to the end user. plus there will be a time when Cannabis is nationally regulated and it can be transported across state lines like every other commodity and then the profit per pound will be much less.....how much less is anyone's guess but i bet it will settle ~$5 gm retail for top shelf, maybe even less.

Ummmmm.....WOW......I never thought I would feel so much love here:) Thanks everyone:joyful: It is greatly appreciated!

We can and do use a barcode scanner with our laptop Mr. Rotten...some of the barcodes fade and cannot be read though and I think we are just going to start writing the barcode number on our grow bags especially as the barcodes bleach out so bad outside. Our scale connects to the laptop as well but we have been entering it ourselves on our records and then again in the states system....so tedious.

You are right Cap.....bigger plants would be less work and most of all in the traceability system they have us use and I am feeling like a huge dumbass for not thinking of that sooner:-/ As big of plants as we can grow from now on and that is for sure!

Seamaiden....if you had ever met my husband you would know patience is my middle name....no one would without it would be to put up with this guy:) Actually I am running the heck out of patience for both the traceability system and my husband if the truth be told...probably because I am always tired....but I am making formal complaints about their tracking system nearly every week and encouraging any other growers/processors/retailers to do the same because they won't fix something if they do not know it is broken to begin with and many voices are much louder than one. As to the husband.....traceability is not the issue....he is bored since I am never home so he is just drinking all the time and calling me after doing so when I am of course incredibly busy but he doesn't want to come and help with anything and I can't get away because I am needed here all the time so it is a bit of an issue:-( He needs a good hobby and it would appear that pot is not it! Sophy is doing good....had a pretty extensive MRI and should have the results today as well as a Ophthalmologist specialist appointment this afternoon so hopefully we will know more in a day or so. I am still concentrating on it not being MS because there are many things her symptoms could point to and MS is just one so got all our fingers and toes crossed that it is something much less dire!!

I think we are going to go with Confidence Analytic s for our testing instead of Analytical 360 wobbly....saw a presentation by them and they seem like a great group to work with so our first test sample will be delivered there on Wednesday and we have our fingers crossed it goes well for us:) The WOW Industries stuff is from a medical grower that I was unaware of when we chose our nameo_O However it turns out I will be reporting back with the final results.

As to the pricing of our products....I am waiting to see what the lab tests report back to us...hopefully some good THC profiles:-) Then the guys and I are thinking of asking about $3150 per lb which works out to about $7.03 per gram wholesale to the retail shop. Pretty expensive at the retail level...probably about $15 per gram, but I am sure it will be some of the cheaper product out there with the roll out the Liquor Control Board has mandated. The media has been trying to prepare the consumer for the high pricing but who knows if it will be a horrible shock or not. At that prices we can make enough to keep on rolling and not feel like we are horribly bad business partners but our next harvest should be sold at a more reasonable rate and it will be a great deal larger.

Here are a couple of shots of some of our Blue Dream being harvested.....will take some shots of the drying room later today when a better camera is supposed to be here. It is full!

I'm so weird, I love being imaged.
Wow, there should be a way to keep the barcode from fading...maybe it's time to invent something :)

Can't wait to hear what the results from the lab are...I find it really interesting
It's the ink I'm thinking. You're right, it should be greenhouse-proof. I wouldn't be surprised if, because it's the Liquor Board, they're having people use the same products that are used on shelved alcohol. They should be using what the horticultural folks use, it works. EG, I just got myself a "garden" pen, this thing is awesome! It NEVER fades, dries pretty much instantly, is water and sun resistant in a big way. The only thing that grease pencils have over this pen is that they can be wiped off and that allows me to reuse my plant tags.

yeah, I'm sure that once growers start complaining or their inspectors think it's a problem that they will find a way to fix it...I mean the whole reason they want the bar code is to track everything in the grow right? How can you tell which plant is which if the barcode is being rendered unusable?

You can usually "erase" permanent ink by going back over it with ink and then rubbing it off with a cloth...I love grease pencils!

Don't get suckered into thinking that the price you sell to the retail store has anything to do with the price they sell it to the masses at..they are going to push the envelope to the max, I would not be shocked if you see $75-$80 or even more for an 8th with a 1/4oz max per patient right out of the chute, some may only let you buy $25-$35 grams with a 1-2 gram limit..I know it sounds crazy but get ready for some crazy shit for the next couple months..but whether you sell yours for $3250 or $4000 will have no impact except on your bottom line not theirs

We are busy as heck at W.O.W. Weed:-) Trimming, trimming and more trimming and we need about 600 plants potted ASAP too. Never a dull moment! Good news about my daughter however and she definitely does not have MS so much to celebrate for us and thank you all for your wonderful wishes for her good health!

I just wanted to post this that another I502 grower I have been trying to help get licensed posted on our I502 Google Group page today because it seems so pertinent and inspiring for me. This is exactly how I feel and of course it made me cry to read it put into someone else's words. Wishing everyone here the opportunity to someday be able to freely grow this wonderful plant and even though I am not absolutely "freely" able to...we are as close as you can get to it in today's world and the future looks brighter than it did a few years ago! Happy 4th of July to everyone:-)

Happy Independence Day!
On the day we celebrate our Nation’s Independence from tyranny, I would like to salute you, My Brothers & Sisters. Those whom have shown the Courage of true American Patriots by standing up to decades of government oppression and persecution. We have united and through that union have brought about a historical change. The path has never been easy and still is not. We have poured our hearts, time and wealth into a cause we believe in. Under the dark cloud of current Federal Law we still risk all of our wealth and personal freedom. Daily we must deal with untold stresses and uncertainties, which those outside our movement will never understand. Many of us will not survive this ordeal, and receive the prize of a 502 license, but we will all forever share in being part of a most significant period in the history of our Great Country. Therefore I ask that you join me, by gathering your family and friends together today, put aside all of your anxieties regarding this process, and party like a rock star. You deserve it. I feel tremendous pride to be part of our community and today may well be the most important July 4th of my lifetime. Thanks for being part of it!

Local WA resident here, been lurking for a bit watching this thread. First I have to say great job in doing what you're doing. Not many people get the opportunity you have to have such an epic garden. Something really caught my attention though...
You have your operation completely exposed to the elements.. as a larger business I'd hope you'd understand from a consumer standpoint, dirty weed is not good weed.
I noticed there were lab results for some of your products that you processed into oils.

Both of these tested positive for having pentane in them among other unhealthy contaminants. I would never in my life willingly smoke a product known to contain pentane let alone an oil with a residual ppm count so high. I'd honestly be concerned about how pentane managed to contaminate your oil in the first place.
But then your most recent samples are flat out just not tested at all for any kind of contaminant. That's a huge red flag as someone who likes to smoke oil daily.

Those Microbial and pesticide tests are pretty important.

Oh my goodness:) I am not growing for any medical market first and foremost. We are part of the recreational market here, I was the 10th legal license granted in the state because I can jump through all the hoops that have been put in front of us and I have helped countless others to do the same, taking valuable time and energy for no personal return at all, just to be a part of the solution as I see it. I have mentioned that repeatedly. Here in WA state you can find a medical dispensary on any corner and guess what....they are not even required to test their products at all. I however am and will be testing every single strain for potency, contaminants, mold, disease, pests, etc. by state approved labs with the most current testing protocols available. I have to include that report with the sale of each and every one of our products so the consumer can see exactly what they are getting. How many medical providers do you know that do that? I have smoked marijuana every day of my life for 31 years. Never have I smoked any weed that was laboratory tested for anything. Never have I smoked any weed that had any sort of quality control or been regulated in any manner. By your accounts I should probably be dead I guess?

This thread is not for my information to look back on or to be schooled by any of you. This is to show how the process of legalization is working here in WA state for our little tiny company PERIOD! Because I let the sunshine on my plants they will be inferior? Because I have a dog that follows in my footsteps they will be inferior? Get freaking real here people! I am not cutting corners. I am dealing with what we have in the best growing practices that I can manage. I am not trying to tell you how to grow caveman, Mr. Kid or any other swinging dick here. I am simply reporting how we are doing it. I do not frankly give 2 cents about your opinion of my grow, of my abilities, of the quality of my weed, of whether I will fail, succeed or anywhere in between. Please do not read my thread if you are worried I will poison someone with a dog hair. I will continue to post for anyone that cares about how it goes down here and I will learn from my mistakes and my successes what works for us in our particular position and situation just like anyone else here. Every single strain will be quality tested for every 5 lbs of product. My "lax" growing methods will be put to the test then, not by you naysayers who have your own particular way of doing things with the resources you have at your disposal. I do not see anything lax about anything we are doing. We have lovely healthy plants grown as organically as we possibly can. I sure as hell am not running any sort of torture chamber for my plants and their obvious health is all the proof I need. I get it you do it a different way. Who gives a shit? Not me:) I bet at the end of my road I will have a quality product that sells for a reasonable price and that is what my goal is, not to impress anyone on this board. We are not that impressive, I have no illusions to that. But what we do have is the ability to do this in the full light of day and that is exactly what I am doing with my doors open wide to the future of this industry and what I might be able to accomplish in it and it makes me smile a big shit eating grin that can't be wiped off by your warnings. I just got done doing a 3 hour interview with the associated press for a story that will be run on public radio here in WA and OR. They will be coming back after harvest to see how we are doing and that will be public knowledge as well. I am trying to be as transparent as possible. I do not have anything to hide and if I fall flat on my face it is nothing to anyone here. I personally do not think that will be the case however and for me everything is coming along just fine:) Here is another photo of one of my horrendously poisonous plants:)

Not trying to rain on your parade too hard.. but you might want to tighten up your quality control there. You boasted you test your products for mold and other contaminants yet I don't see that actually happened. Sorry if this seems personal, but I'm going to treat you like a business since you are one. Quality and cleanliness have to kept a top priority.

As much as your able to do freely now is a lot more than 85% of the United States so consider that a blessing as there is still along fight to be fought for others even to get to your point without fear of losing , children worldly possessions and just about anything else they feel free to take
