This is my first time posting on this forum.... I need help.

To make a long story short, If anyone knows anything about Current Culture Under Current System i have a 32 site 13 gal set up. After a whole VEGG cycle of 5 weeks (yes 5 weeks due to some bad advice) I flipped to Flower and got told that I need to change my nutrients to make this system run at its optimum level. The problem is I already spend a shit load of money on these nutrients :(

I was using the following nutrients:

FLOWER:

Sweet
Pro Bloom
Liquid Karma
Cal Mag
Roots

The tech support person at Under Culture told me that I should not be using Liquid Karma or Sweet or Roots

QUESTIONS:

1) What is a good nutrient regiment for this system (consider I am in my first week of Flower stage) ?

2) I'm getting some yellowing leafs on top of my plants, can someone identify the problem by looking at the pictures? (ill upload the photos soon)

3) I'm running 10 lights in the Grow Room (2 Metal Halide and 8 HPS) is that ok? or should I do all HPS? most places say I should mix it up 80/20%

4) Beneficials (is the method i guess I'm using) can someone explain the difference between the two methods Beneficials/Sterile?

Hi

i have few grows under my belt with DWC systems and currently running a personal CA Prop 215 home made 8site DWC in a tent. For nutrients i use FLORANOVA GROW & FLORANOVA BLOOM during respective stages. For final stages i use FLORAICIOUS or FLORALICIOUS PLUS for weight and resin production.

In addition i run RAPIDSTART root enhancer until few weeks before harvest. And flush with CLEARX from botanicare.

Yellowing leaf is may be due to high Nitrogen level in the water.

I use LEDs x2years and have not looked back at HPS or MH.

I use OCRA liquid benificial. I use my own cuttings so mostly i use FLORANOVA BLOOM throughout rarely use FLORANOVA GROW.
I do not change my water, just add some as needed. OR whatever the reservoir tells me. Use RO water. Constant water temps are vital above 63-65 is trouble.

Hope it helps. checkout my instagram at #dubcitydabz

Thanks

I been reading up on the yellowing of the leafs and they say it can be due to Nitrogen "deficiency" ?

I mean after I flipped it to Flower and changed out the water completely I didn't add much nutes (hence my PPMs are at 400's) How would I fix the yellowing of the leafs?

I would bump up the nutes try 800ppms and the yellowing should go away with the added N..800ppms is on the low end compared to a lot of grows I'm seeing these days..I've seen levels of 1250ppms with success..check out some threads here on grows similar to yours and read wat they are running at although some strains can b sensitive to the nuts which is why I said try starting at 800..good luck n happy farming

North Knect: I am running a Under Current System - everyone including Current Culture Techs are saying that this system is design to run on super low PPM's Here is one of the Video's that explains it:

Don't mean to argue with you (since I'm the one asking for help)

I need a solution on what to ADD (exactly) out of the nutrients that I described that Im using for the Nitrogen deficiency to go away.

?

I watched that video and I think 400 sounds bang on for veg..the guy mentioned a mid flower plant should b getting 750ish..or half of wat a normal hydro set up would run with..I would go between the current 400 and the 750..ur girls just might be nutes hogs

Where can I find a good feeding schedule for DWC in terms of at least the basics and the PPMs per week stretch ?

Hi, I set up a 24 site xl system and went throw my first cycle and it came out good. I feel it can be better and current working on my regime and training of course. I've heard DWC was a bit tricker then other applications so I was reluctant but after see the accelerated growth, I'm glad I choice DWC. Here are some tips, hopefully it will help you.

1. Only use synthetic nutrients. So no liquid karma. Look into using current culture nutrients and regime to get a good base line.

2. Okay to use MH and HPS. I think it's okay but I also believe in bloom you should maximize the color spectrum for blooming then at wks 7-8 you can switch couple to MH. It will help to develop frosty trichomes.

3. For the yellowing leafs it might be do to the cal mag. Possibly be cal mag defiency or locked up and utilizing the other nutrients due to the lack of cal mag. Whats your cal mag at? And r u using RO? My cal mag is at 3.5 -4 ml in bloom.

4. Also look to use UC roots it will help to unlock plants if it is locked up and also keep your water and roots clean. I use it and my roots filled the bucket and totally white. It kills pathogens in the water.

Hope this helps a little but remember all things are subjective to how the plants look and also the water condition in DWC so do your research rough current culture.

You can find the information at current culture website. Go to the resource page and check it out. Also get UC roots if your roots start turning yellowish. It also help in flush and lockouts
