So here's an update. The plants in flower are starting week 6... like day 37, ph crept up to 6.0 but i just topped off and brought it to 5.9. I just wrote it all down on my white board too but i think I'm at like 820ppm. Added 12ml calimagic to the 5 gal mix, think the ppm from that+the 30 start was 150ppm

Anyways i know i have a ways to dial these nutes/system in but here's the pics, happy to get any tips/advice.

I was messing around with filters on my phone so that's why lighting might look different.

What do you think, just more calmag? I feel like I'm doing everything else right bit the plants say they could be better

Yes I would say more calmag. is that necrotic spotting happening at the middle and top of the plant? the way it seems to start from the base and middle of the leaf instead of the tip would indicate to me deficiency and necrotic spotting is usually calcium. Mg specifically would cause an even yellowing of the leaves from the bottom of the plant upwards, but the veins would still be green.

upping the calmag should stop it from spreading. They look good otherwise. do you do any pruning?

Yeah Def going to up the call mag, i prune a bunch on the bottom, not so much on the top of the net but its def crowded. I just started scrogging everything the last few months so I'm new to scrogging too but I'm getting the hang of it, would you recommend pruning some fan leaves at the top to get the buds more light? I've been just tucking what i can under the net.

Btw i really appreciate your guy's help!!! With you guys around in sure things will be dialed in real soon :)

Also I've been having great clone success with the clone king, 100% easy peasy.... well the last batch i put in is going real slow, most of the clones are showing thick roots sticking straight out but like 1/5" getting no length... just checked the water temp since its on my basement floor and it was 55*, just threw in a small fish tank heater (think like 12w) and set it to the lowest like 68, also have foam insulation on the floor so is not like they're sitting on an ice block... think I'll see em take off in the next few days hopefully.... i need em to throw in the next round in like 6 days ha

I'm no scrog expert but I do believe you want to remove some of the upper leaves to allow some light penetration to lower leaves. But not to crazy, It is more important for leaves to get the light as opposed to the bud themselves. Photosynthesis happens on the leaves and the sugars are transported to the buds. Also allows for better airflow and to allow the limbs to stretch to support larger buds.

You def want to heat that floor from 55 though. might take your clones forever at that temp to root. i usually aim for 70 at the base. I am in rapid roots though. 7-10 days for roots pretty steadily.

Upping nutrients is almost ALWAYS the wrong answer .

My full flowering plants with only 4ml/gal of calmag at lower ppms didn't show those spots.

You are burning your plants and mistaking it for deficiency

Very well said. More is very rarely better in rdwc.

I know less is more in uc, I'm getting the hang of that and following the schedule pretty close for cultured solutions now. I just added like 12ml calimagic to the 5g top off bucket because i think it was so low on cal mag.

I think the 820 was the highest ppm i hit... it got a bit high then but it's my first run with cultured solutions, second run with uc. I think I'm starting to get it dialed in to where there is a slight drop in ppm with a bunch of water drank and the ph is ridiculously stable right now ha. Never seen it so stable, with house and garden i was constantly trying to get it in line. Ill post an update again soon.

Keep up the suggestions guys, i appreciate the help!

.... just did the res change with the cs late, ppm is right at 490, says ph should be 450... close enough I'm thinking, I'll water it down when they drink a little

That 450 should be the sweet spot. Less is more for sure in the UC. I dont ever top 500ppm with my H&G nutrients

wow if I let mine get to 450 I would have problems. I think a lot depends on your environment(lights, humidity, temps) and the genetics. and probably other factors. Im up at about 1200 in week 6 right now and not a spot to be seen anywhere. Actually have some yellowing going on down below.

I've been toying with the idea of trying the supernatural instant jungle foliar spray... i like the idea that its a stable premix that i can just spray quick and easy once in a while to maybe give them a boost in veg when they don't have lots of roots to eat...

Looking nice there. You have some nice colas in that jungle. Have you ever thought about flipping a little earlier?
