phenos that have been found so far.......first , have ranged 59 to 72 days.the structure is also very consistent, that meaning.......they all have stout medium structure which in turn helps hold the very large colas in place without the use or need for stakes, which was one one of the hopes for this strain. one lone plant that was very lanky turned out male and had that famous pineapple smell and pollen WILL be saved for future. the flavors of the strain are as follows.....alcohol....watermelon......tropical fruit (pineapple mango )... (peach, baby powder).pics of the other phenos will be posted as they come in..........shamus

Great! Thanks for the information, friend.

Tiny Update, Literally:

WQ #1 is up with the rest of its friends:
IMG 06061

Seeds #8, #9, and #10 have all visibly cracked and are in rockwool mini-cubes.

I'm not going to mess w/ paper towel method anymore. The potential for damage to delicate seedlings is too great. Soak beans in tapwater mixed 50/50 with distilled water, w/ a 10mL/L Bio-Ag Ful-Power for 12-24 hrs, and sow them straight into media. Same results as paper towel method, no transferring delicate taproots.

Seedlings #8, #9, and #10 are up and at 'em:
IMG 06191 IMG 06171 IMG 06181

And the whole family:
IMG 06201

Germination rates on this pack were 9/10. Fresh beans.
As mentioned, though, one little seedling just didn't make it and I killed one seedling on accident.

I'll grow these a couple of weeks then it's off to the flower tent to sex them.

Everything really coming together now:
IMG 06381

WQ #2 is the runt of the litter, so far, but sometimes they grow out of it.
Other seedlings are doing well. True leaves just setting on the older ones.

Updates to follow.

WQ #2 was pulled. It just wouldn't get with the program.
IMG 06511

Now, there are 6 healthy seedlings. #3 & #5 were both topped and are recovering nicely. Both are displaying hybrid structure.

#1 looks like the indica phenotype, it has shorter internodes and is throwing wider fans. It won't be topped just yet.

#8, #9, and #10 are catching up and looking good. I thought I'd bear witness to more mutants, the genetics are similar on the maternal and paternal sides.

Here's the six amigos:
IMG 06521

They're on full strength fertilizer (which, to be fair, isn't terribly strong) and foliar sprayed with fulvic every 3 days. Roots are big, white, and healthy. All seedlings were treated with Eagle 20 fungicide as a prophylactic measure. They'll get another hit of Eagle 20 when they transition to flower.

A touch early but it appears 3 distinct phenotypes are developing:

#3 & #5 (middle 2) are looking like indica leaning hybrids. They have darker, thicker, rougher, larger fans and robust stems.
There is still good internodal spacing on both plants.

#1 & #8 (bottom 2) are looking like indica dominant hybrids. They were short out of the gate, little seedlings hugging the ground.
Growing densely and rather slowly compared to the others, with very short internodal spacing.

#9 & #10 (top 2) are looking like sativa-leaning hybrids. They're growing quickly and taller, with smooth, paper-thin lime green leaves. The leaves are still just as wide as the others. Stems are a little thinner than the others. Similar internodal spacing to #3 & #5. I suppose these are A13 dominant plants.

Hopefully in a few weeks they'll show their sex naturally in the veg. tent. I'll have to keep them small anyway until I put the ISS and Purple Elephant into flower. That's over 5 weeks away, should be no problem.
The important thing is everything looks healthy.

#3 is outgrowing the little seed starting thing I have, so it was transplanted into a 1 liter hempy. Vigorous plants.

WQ #5 showed 2 male preflowers. It had great structure, very vigorous, stem rub smelled great. If I had the space it may have made a nice male. It was culled and we are down to 5 plants. Males generally show first, so this is expected.

Plants #9 & #10 (what I suspect to be A13 dominant) throw unusually long petioles. Minor leaf mutations and instability.

I have a lot of time to kill in veg., it'll be a month before these hit 5 gallon buckets, where they'll spend another 2 months before flowering.
So, I've decided to slow things down a bit and mainline these plants.

Nice to sex them early, I am running them all as if fems right into flower, then will up-pot the ladies and offer the males to local growers or compost them. Tempting to grow the males and save pollen, but not set up for that, so will be content with a cutting from any keepers. And yes, nice long veg for the win. Nice plants.

I hear ya man just need a nice female cut from seed right now. Eventually I'll go looking for a male.
Because of the extended veg. time, they should all show sex within a month or so. Expecting 2-4 females to choose from.

Update:

#3, #10, and #1 showed stamenate pre-flowers and were culled. We're down to 2 out of 6 healthy plants.

#8
IMG 06801
#8 didn't like the stripping and mainlining much, but is throwing new roots everywhere and recovering well. Some plants dislike stripping/branch removal. Sex unknown, statistically leaning female. Slow and rather finicky so far in veg.

#9
IMG 06811
#9, the plant with the best smell rub, looks like it is female. Good structure, is looking like a slightly more indica version of my Apollo 13. Need to actually see the pistil before I am sure, but it's most likely female.

#8 showed a male preflower and was culled. Down to one plant, #9. I really do hope it's a female.

Silver lining: If it turns out male, I have more space to pop some more beans or get a new cut. I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to test these seeds.

...and #9 showed a male preflower today. I am not sure if they couldn't handle the stress from mainlining or if it's just my bum luck.

Thanks again for stopping by, everyone.

Were there both male and female traits? My WQs look fine in veg, hope to flip in a week or 2 and then up pot the fems. I have a GranDoggyPurp that shows nanners from week 6, but they seem to be sterile, no seeds on them or the rest of the garden last couple runs.

#9 had male and female preflowers. I'm sure if I grew them out, some more may have been technically "female", but I can't run anything that spits male flowers at all. But it was just one pack of beans. And only 6/10 seeds actually ended up being grown out.

@FooDoo I hope so too man send me the a cut of the best one!

Looking good. I'm definitely taking a seat on this one! Hope you get the watermelon and pineapple phenos as those sound amazing! Good use of Ful-Power!! I love this fulvic acid and combine it with some Aptus Fasilitor for foliar as it works great!

Best wishes to you and your new plants buddy :)
