So I started 5 sour diesel clones in my little veg spot on or around March 30th.. They were transplanted into 3 gal pots with a FFOS/perlite/vermiculite mix ( about 60/30/10) I fed them botanicare grow/ rhizotonic/cal mag/molasses/ I also foliar fed them a little bit of boost....

I used traditional low stress training as well as a lot of topping and fimming I even experimented a bit with some supercropping....my goal was to keep the inside very clean and promote a tall circle bush like plant for later on

I moved them under a 1000W hps light for a week before they were put outside into the greenhouse...

Heres our greenhouse and a pic of the plants just moving in... Unfortunately we had to move the plants to the greenhouse (April 30) a little earlier then we had hoped due to some unforseen landlord issues.... We added a little shop lite with a grow bulb just so the plants wouldn't preflower on us and a small space heater just incase

Here she is at night we put up some fencing but it still looks like a freaking space ship landing from a distance lol

On May 1st we decided to transplant the girls into some 15 gal breathable pots with the same mixture of FFOS, perlite, and vermiculite..... We also added a double layer of weed barrier on the ground to keep it CLEAN :)

Off to a good start. If it was me and had to keep them semi covered I'd take the green house off and leave your bambo fence up. Also put them in bigger pots, those smaller ones will dry out quick once they get bigger..

So I had been thinkin the same thing but I gotta have the plants covered from the top too so we fenced in a huge area and we're gonna install a 8x12ish hoop house.... I figured I could build some big 150ish gal pots then till up the earth underneath and use that too...My plan is to run 3/4 in the big one and 1/2 in the little one....

So we finished the hoop house frame and cover this morning....it ended up being about 15 ft long by 10 ft wide and roughly 8ish ft tall.....turned out pretty nice for a throw together.... Still gotta tighten everything up and hook up some kind of exhaust system, I already have a nice size opening on the front left bottom I can install a box fan in for a nice intake other then that were on to setting up some sort of watering station on here so were not luggin 5 gal buckets back all summer

So we're trying to do this thing on a bit of a budget so unfortunately we didn't spring for smart pots but we did our best at riggin some up. We built some 3x3x2 pots and drilled holes in em for ventilation and lined em with some organic weed barrier and tilled up underneath em (they're bottomless pots just four sides)...

The question is anybody have any suggestions as to whats best to fill em with??? I don't have time to cook up any supersoil so I figured I'd use a mix of FFOS, perlite, Dolomite, vermiculate, and some filler soil just so it doesn't get crazy outta hand price wise...

Any thoughts or suggestions on a soil mixture is appreciated
:)

Seems like your plants are gonna outgrow that hood house pretty quick. When are you planing on putting your girls outside and are you doing a light dep?

Most likely no light dep we just gonna grow em the whole season, if they outgrow the hoop house then we'll cut the top off of it whenever we run into that issue..
Thanks for checking our little thing out
:)

Can't wait to see your greenhouse with plants doubling the height of the greenhouse. You will fill that thing up real quick. It will be a thing of beauty.

I strongly suggest doing a light dep, especially since you could do two runs and keep that nice hoop house you just made. As for soil if you are in an ag area find out what local veggie growers are using, there is a place in sacramento that has amazing soil for a fraction of bag price, your fox farm recipe should work just fine

I would think it's too late in the season for two dep runs. Unless maybe you have full grown plants ready to go.

Yea idk man you might wanna wait until the first week of July to put some fresh CLONES out to keep them from outgrowing your hoophouse. I started some fresh clones last year on June 9th in 30 gallon smart pots and they got almost 9ft tall. And maybe just dig holes and scrap your box idea or dig holes and put your boxes in flush with the ground. Plants grow pretty damn fast and I'm sure will outgrow your hoop house QUICK

I can't believe i didn't think of just digging holes and filling em up with the mix..... Great idea man, will be digging holes this week, gives me an extra 3 feet of headroom....now to figure out what to do with these massive box pots lol

For your soil mix you should get some compost and/or worm castings. You can probably find a good deal on craigslist. Or find a reputable local soil supply company, they should have compost too. I don't think I would get compost from the city dump but some places proffessionaly make organic compost....still won't be as good as good quality homemade compost but will be a great filler. I filled half my pickup for $20.

Sorry for the lag, been super busy with work and getting things squared away for the summer.... I scooped some aged horse ranch organic compost for like 10 bucks thanks for the info ;) I also picked up bags of vermiculite, perlite, earthworm castings, bio-thrive, and lime and mixed all that up with a little FFOS...I have no idea how well it'll work but I guess I'll find out... We ended up scrapping the pots that we built like I thought we would and dug some roughly 60 gal holes....Its gonne be tight, I know, but I figure we'll do our best at what we've got and hope that we can make it work :) Ill post more pics tomorrow after we finish transplanting them all...

Looking good there cogrower8. Can't wait to see that thing stuffed full of heady's. Just curious how much is a gram of recreational herb there in colorado

Like I said before its not super soil were just retarded and were teasing a friend of ours
