Hey guys, I've been quite active in the past couple of days (Harvest season here), so I didn't get round to saying hello.
Hi!
Let me tell you about This guy I know, Nacho. He's from the desert, he was raised in ecovillages and sustainable farms, and has been growing since his teens, with his mom.
He doesn't buy stuff, he trades.
Sorry it took me so long to join the site, I only just got internet (I trade internet for fresh produce with my neighbour now).

I don't have a camera yet either. That would be another trade I'd have to make. I'd love to post pic's though the farm always looks good around harvest season because of the winter rainfall. You'd say I lived in a tropical forest if you saw it, not a desert like the other farms around us. I'll see what I can do, I think someone on the farm has a phone with a VGA on it. Bummer that it's bad quality.

Haha!
I've used the barter economy most of my life, even my internet I get from my neighbours in exchange for fresh food.
The world would be so much better if there was no money. although it would take time to regress the intrenched damage capitalism has had on our Africa and our minds. One day, I hope, my descendants will not know of money. Or think of it as we think of evil.
Anyway I'm out for the day, the farm needs a walk.

Welcome seen your post on mommas haze ( purple haze *northern lights)'would love for you to barter for a picture of that girl. Ill even let ya have choice from my frig.
Just the food we throw away in my home would feed a country sad but true

Would also love to here the story on above mentioned strain

I'd love to have a picture myself. We grow her every year though, I'll send a pic of the dry harvested bud if I get a visitor with a camera anytime soon, but don't have any of the grow though, the family is quite parries. And none of us have working cameras ATM. Soon though. Thanks for the warmth, guys. Such an epic community

A liiiittle note or two about the my mom's tasty haze:
Name: Momma's Haze
Genetics: 45% Sativa / 55% Indica
Lineage: Purple Haze X Northern Lights

Eish, she's tasty - you can definitely taste the thai notes from the purple haze, and the spicyness of the Lights.
She's a medium smallish bushy plant that grows dense small internodes (could be desert climate) with a great yield for her size. Grows amazingly outdoor, surprisingly considering the desert and the heat and the Indicaness.
The high is great. I love it, my whole family loves it. It's got the uplifting high of the Purple Haze and the relaxing qualities of the NL.
The buds are dense, deep purple with a hairy fury cote that makes it difficult to even recognize as ganja when trimmed.

Photos to come

You went from a rural bartering farmer to a breeder in a post to funny :D

Id ask for a cut but that would be against rules and I'm guessing a post office is outta the question ...... :p Jk

But seriously being your describing two of the most famous cannabis strains that I'm pretty sure don't exist anymore ( at least in the online world) as hairy deep purple balls

Do work on that picture please .....

No post office near us, buddy. And we like it that way. To be honest the fam's not too happy about me internetting 24/7 these days... (Such a blast)

Like I said before, my mom's been growing for years. Please tell me how two of the greatest have disappeared? We've been pollinating with an earbud for a while, once every four years we grow an isolated male and collect pollen. MISSION!!! if I may say the least.

I don't breed 'em myself per se, but I know the process (you know stoners - and my mom's no different - wants everything done her way :) )

Still waiting on a bud with a cam! Should be arriving within the next month.

Good news though, we had our first 40mms of rain for the winter. It's Armageddon out there compared to what we're used to...

Hey Nacho just curious where abouts are you from?

Seems abit 3rd age where you are lol, not looking to live amongst civilisation? I can't believe places like that still exist lol Internet should be accessible by everybody. And just as much as they hate your onlining you must understand that everything is pushing towards online these days lol.

It's abit sad tbh, my 8 month year old niece plays on my iPad and works the Internet lmao.

It's a way of life bruh. Keeps you connected to everybody else.

Haha!
I'm from South Africa. I stay in a desert that has no cellphone or network coverage. Places like this exist everywhere :) . They hate it because they're paranoid stoners who think the farm'll get busted. They are emailing and what-what now that I got the deal with the neighbour. They're more thankful than angry.

to be honest I prefer to be connected to the mycellium in the soil than everyone else. I've seen the news. Everyone else is mad. I love my way of life having no negative impact on the earth, you should try it.
Mommas Haze

Here's the pic though.
