At one point, I had enough of these bastards infesting my garden. I wanna figure out a way to get rid of them for good without using anything too toxic or poisonous chemical. So i came up with my own natural solution to this problem. Just follow my methods and I can assure you wont have mites ever again. Just mentioning it give me the shivers. This methods has been working for me and I hope it will work for you.
Follow these steps..
1. Depending how bad your infestation on your plants, just snip off the leaves or branch cluster n discard in a bag( make sure you put it in the bag gently so you wont have mite eggs spreading more to your grow space). If those bastard are 85% infested, i highly recommend you find a good branch and start new clones and start from step 2. If you're in flower already, good luck with the harvest :(
2. Make sure your grow area is clean. Scrub everything in your grow area with bleach(for every gallon of water add half a cup of bleach). Remove the cloth filter from the carbon filter and hand wash it with soap, remember to install it back to the filter when its dry and the room is clean.
3. The 420 Solution:
In a sauce pan add 2 cups of vegetable oil on medium heat. Take one handful of cannabis shakes or small buds(the more resin the better) add it to the sauce pan. Keep stirring until until you see the content turn from green to a light brown. Remove the pan from the stove and let cool. Remember not to over cook the cannabis. Once its cool to the touch, get a fine-strainer or pante-hose and use it to strain the oil from the cannabis. Make sure you strain it good or else it might clog the sprayer. Using a 650ml sprayer bottle; add 2tbsp of your oil and 2tsp of dish washing soap, then fill almost to the top with water.Shake well and spray it on your plant throughly 2hours before your lights turn on. Repeat every 4 days until you see no signs if mites.
4. Get yourself those thin nylon painters suit and foot covers( should have them in your paint department in the hardware store). Where that whenever you go in the garden and only the garden.
5. If you have air intakes coming in your garden from the outside, make sure you have a filter to avoid pest getting in. Dont let your pets in your garden. Dont let anyone enter your garden without the nylon suit including yourself.
Good luck.... This works for me so far, if this doesnt work for you, sorry.
