Need Some Advice

So my sprout was damaged, I used a stick and put her back upright, its been about three days and I'm not sure if she's healing or not, the leaves are still strong, but I wanted more expert advice about this before I do anything to harsh.

Please let me know if you've got any ideas or pointers, it would be very much appreciated.

And she refuses to stay upright, she likes to tilt :/

She's all messed up just at the base of the soil, sorry the pictures aren't clear enough, couldn't get close without it blurring.

Maybe I need to make a thread on this, but SO many growers seem to advise doing what you're doing, or burying the seedling up to its tiny little head. Maybe all these growers who advise to do what you did have never started seeds under the sun. But I have.

Guess what. They ALL do this. They all stretch, they all flop over. Then, they all right themselves and good luck telling which one was floppy or not. Seriously.

In other words, don't sweat it, it'll grow out of it. Take the binding off.

I like using a straw for support. Cut to length. Loosen the rope on the stem so it can grow up and not be restricted. Also support the upper part of the seedling . She can use it.

Well, I certainly wouldn't advise burying it up to it's head but, I always start seeds in about a half a cup, (or a little more), of soil so that when they stretch like that I can fill in with some more soil to remedy the situation. They will/may upright themselves after a while but, that a lot of stalk above soil before you get to the first node, I prefer to have most of that buried. After it's buried more roots will grow out from that buried piece of stalk also.

its been a broken record on here lately. you/we give sound growing advise to those who ask for it only for it to be snubbed and discounted and asked again repeatedly only to be given the same solutions.

you can only lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink no matter what.

I agree in regard to loosening the tie.
Try something like this.....

I agree w @ShroomKing and @Papa Indica. Bury some of the stalk in dirt it will grow roots.
The reason that seedling is stretchin so much is cause the light isnt intense enuf. In the future. ...when u see ur seedling start to stretch for the light...bring the light closer to the plant. Thats the plants way of sayin "i want more light".

I'm on your side.

Seedling stretch is a natural mechanism to help young plants break through forest floor debris and to get above low lying brush and reach good light.

It doesn't mean that the light is too far away, necessarily.

But that being said, you CAN greatly reduce this natural impulse to stretch, when growing indoors, by lowering the light closer to the plant.

But left alone lanky , floppy seedlings will adjust just fine if environment is on point.

Haha, i meant as opposed to the seedlings that were from the original post not urs pal. U just keep on doin what ur doin, brother.

Funny thing those pix were of my jsd....the single stretchiest plants ive ever grown. I flippem em when they were 18" and they stretched to almost 6'.

My theory is to mimic nature as much as possible while at the same time improving upon it where I can. I kinda thought that was what all of us indoor growers were doing to some extent or other.
