Hey everyone

going on day 23 in Bloom and seeing this happen... Not sure from what because they were so healthy looking before and the strain next to it is perfectly fine.

Def not a pest issue. They are getting full nutes between 1.2 and 1.4 ec but does not appearing to burn at all.

any suggestions?

leaves are turning slightly purple in some areas. night time temp is between 66.5 and 68 usually.

Using ionic bloom, pk boost, fossil fuel, and cal-mag on occasion

DEFINITELY not a mobile element deficiency here. I can say this with some confidence because the yellowing is all uppers. That leaves us with the immobile elements. I see no signs of Ca-, so right now I'm leaning towards Fe, S or... hold on, I want to check mah charts again.

Yup, I think it's S. SUPER easy to get LOTS by using, of all things, Epsom salt. It's something like 12% S.

The issue will be its mobility, will you be able to correct the deficiency this late in the game? I think if you get on it now you may have some decent results. I use 1/4tsp/gallon water + sticker-spreader for the MgSO4 (Epsom).

Thanks for the input. I will mix in a small amount and see what happens, cant hurt. But looking at sulfur deficiencies it doesnt quite look like my issue. Leaves look much healthier than those and maybe will try getting better pictures without all the flash, the flash is giving more yellow that really there. But leaves are losing green and turning purple. They are also still praising to the sky everyday which hopefully is good.

The strain typically changes purple but not nearly this soon into the game...

Are they getting cool? Or would you say that the purpling is where the light hits?

I have a monstrosity of a mother plant currently in a Sulphur deficiency.
A perfect example imo.

Pale and stunted new growth from inside leaf to edges with purple streaking in the stems.

I hate to disagree with Seamaiden, so Im not going to. I will take it a step further on this one and say I see an overall deficiency pattern emerging.
Your Nitrogen, Phosphorus ...and possibly even Potassium deficient, along with sulphur and possibly manganese.
I would do as Seamaiden suggested. Wait a day, since the spray will show very fast results if it's the fix. And if not fixed, I would bump your feed up moderately.
I just hit my monster mom with Seamaiden's Epson Spray, I bet she loves it.

Best of luck. Peace

Now see, I don't see a S- in that plant, I see a plant that's growing vigorously and is translocating lots of N as quickly as it can, but it's not *quite* as fast as the new growth.

It looks like the mains are streaked with the purple, and so in my opinion that will continue through the plant almost no matter how it's grown. That's been my own experience, at least.

I think you've got a hairy monster on your hands! Quick, someone get a bucket!

Lol. Yeah she prays when she is happy and has green stems. I also forgot to add Epson to my mix last month and then promptly forgot to suppliment. So I knew S- was coming. Then boom she got all sad and shit.

@Seamaiden Notice how you can see the periods of S- growth in the stem streaking. Growth circled in red was during S- times and the area Circled blue was growth just after sulphur was supplimented.

mine did that sometimes on the ionic with certain strains.i would just use the grow instead of bloom for a few feeds and it should turn around.could be just a lil hungry but sea's epsome fix might work also.gl

Thanks you three.

I grabbed some Epsom but cautious to use it until i knew for sure but will indeed toss a small dose into it. can I mix it right in with the nutrients? if so what order? or better to spray on budding plants?

and from your pics sixstring i can tell ya its not the same thing. And quite surprised about the deficiencies all together. I'll up the bloom a bit more, going between 10-15 ml/gal of that alone bringing it up .5ec normally...

I personally prefer giving it via foliar if my goal is to correct a deficiency. The main reason is to be certain I'm heading in the right direction. But in this instance I don't see why you can't give it via root drench, which I've also done plenty of times when growing in coir. I will alternate the MgSO4 with my Ca feed so that I don't force too much on them. That's what I suggest you do here, take away a bit of fertilizer so you don't burn, or give it alone. Start with a quarter teaspoon per gallon or so. I've found I don't need to go higher, but YMMV.
