Mtntroggers Motarebel Run

This grow is my official restart, after being forced to shut down for the last few months due to a broad/russet mite invasion. I tossed all my plants , tents ,pots and much other gear. Then pulled all of the carpet from our apartment and replaced with wood floor. So in addition to having to buy new tents I decided it best to be ready in advance for any possible outbreak. I have purchased a usb microscope and also (yet to be delivered) a vial each of Forbid and Avid. Planning on a bottle of Kontos as well. Hoping to have a exterminator come and heat treat the house as a further preventative measure. Will also sterilize the returning gear (lights, fans) with bleach (pure) and then peroxide. This restart will be from seed only

Strains I will be running this round : Lung Candy, Berry Sanders, Harlequin x Lbl. I am also testing some seeds for relentless. I am doing a thread at the mag for the testers . Planned Grow details. After germination, sprouts will be planted into a seed starter mix ( I like FF light Warriior) ,in plastic beer cups, watered with distilled h20 only until second set of leaves appears. I am planning on using the Canna product line. I feed via a pump sprayer (2 gal). Will be using the Canna Terra nute line along with a bit of Mammoth micro. Will transplant into Canna Terra Soiless mix( coco/ peat) in 3 gallon grow bags for flower. Will start sprouts under a t5 light then (hopefully) move into a new 4 x 4 tent lit by my 600 watt hps. I am trying to get into flower as fast as possible since the down time has put me into financial trouble as well as behind schedule. The plan is to veg for around 40 days after germ, then take cuts, veg for another week then flip. I like plants to have good root structure and strong top growth before flipping. Too many people flip right after they transplant, or topping, instead of waiting for the plant to be ready for what happens after the flip. If anyone has any input or suggestions please feel free to drop em ! My first real attempt at running all Canna. Please let me know if youve run Canna !

So, I got things started on Xmas. Soaked a total of 25 seeds on the full moon. 4 lung candy, 3 harlequin x lbl, 2 berry Sanders. The rest were relentless stuff and a Bruce banner cross I made.

As planned I germinated in only distilled h20. Soaked for about 20 hours ,then moved into paper towels in baggies. Then day before yesterday I set up a new little veg tent, put the baggies on a seed warmer mat with the lights off. By last night I had all 3 harlequin x lbl popped and 1 of the lung candy. 4 of 9 currently. The rest are still in baggies on top of the lamp, which got turned on last night. I planted the ones that popped into fox farms light warrior, watered again with only distilled water. No fans are on in the tent yet. I like to keep the rh high until they get above ground.

As of today all (3) of the Harlequin x LBL have sprouted thru the surface of the soil. I have removed all from the humidity dome. They are being lightly watered daily with bottled (ro) water or distilled water. One lung candy that germinated is still hiding beneath the surface. None of the other beans have germinated yet, waiting on a couple of berry sanders and 3 more lung candy, which are still in the paper towels in the baggies placed on top of the t5 lamp. been misting them lightly once a day...fingers crossed, but after a few more days I may have to toss em. Hey Mota ! So I had to toss the Lung Candy seeds on the 1st. They had a bit of "fur" on em. I was bummed. 1 did pop and is growing , albeit slowly so far. I really wanted to see what this strain has going on so I have soaked a few more and put them into paper towels in baggies yesterday. The Berry Sanders , I got 1 of the 2 seeds to crack , but it wouldnt open up. However the Harlequin x Lbl is doing great. I have high hopes for that one judging by its vigor. I will post pics of the 3 Harlequin x Lbl and the 1 lung candy tomorrow.

Get with MrG and get some replacements.

So I got 1 more lung candy to crack today ! I planted into the light warrior and watered with distilled water. 2 more still left in the baggie germinating. Here is a pic of the group. All harlequin x lbl except the lil wee one. That's the sole lung candy to pop so far. I turned on the exhaust fan a few days ago, and the circulation fan yesterday. My temp today was 73 F and about 30% rh. I misted them lightly with the distilled water. Will start bottom feeding with light nutes soon. They did look slightly burnt yesterday, so I raised up the t5 a bit. Hard to imagine it being anything else, like ph related, since its new soil and only distilled h20 with a little asprin.

The lil ones are all looking pretty good now. I think raising the lamp a bit helped, Never had it burn seedlings before, but it was pretty close. They are also being bottom with very light nutes, Canna Vega. The lung candys that did germinate did not do well at getting above soil. I currently only have the first one to pop going, the others just wouldnt open up. It is struggling along slowly, and may need to be culled. The harlequin x lbl will likely be the focus of the rest of this thread. However I did give a good friend of mine ,who lives on the other side of the pass, a couple of the Strawberry Hashplant seeds from the purchase I made at Motas booth last year. I was super anxious to get these going too ,just didnt have the space. He got 1 of the 2 to pop and said its going well. He is a "master" grower, so I am looking forward to posting some pics of what he gets from that line.

So I wanted to share a photo or 2 of the Harlequin x Lbl. Notice the one with the weird leaves. All have nice short nodes so far. Thick stems too. Sadly the one lung candy I had left needed culling. It just wasnt doing anything. And was way behind the others. I am planning on attempting the last 2 or 3 beans I have left of the Lung candy at the end of the month. One pic is from the scope yesterday, taken from a older burnt looking leaf. Currently the temp is at 75 with the rh around 28%. Been bottom feeding using the same nutes as mentioned above, today I added 1 to 2 mil of Azamax to the mix, poured a bit in from the top , then dumped the rest into the tray to be bottom fed. No sprays other than a daily light misting of distilled h2o.

a few pics and update... the Harlequin x lbl are looking decent, I am about to up plant into the Canna Terra and move into the larger 3 x 3 tent. Do the scope pics reveal anything to anyone on here ? I am fearing the Broad mites return

Heres a couple of pics of the strawberry HP that my buddy is growing. I gave him a couple of the seeds I bought from MrG. Same plant , which we now believe is female. First shot is at 24 days , the other is 3 days later ! He is growing using all botanicare in coco , in a flood and drain type hydro rig. Crushing it !

A few of the Harlequin x Lbl. Recently transplanted into 2 gallon bags into Canna Terra +. Watered with Canna vega with asprin added. Now under the 600 hps dimmed down to 400 (most of the time), in the recently set up DR 80 3x3 tent, which they will finish in. ...Hopefully. I still havent found anything moving with the usb scope. I DID do a preventative ? ..spray a few days ago with a oil spray that home Deepshit sells called eco smart. All natural, smells just like sns 217. Made from mostly rosemary oil and that shit. The plants looked pissed a few days later. , But they were definitely looking like something was getting after em. I am heat treating again atm :sweating: Will scope tomorrow .

Been a minute man...but I mailed you

Mota rebels strawberry hashplant, really solid yielder here. Huge buds, really nice daytime smoke. Can't wait to run more mota gear soon. Some real gems in these fellas work. These seeds are a steal for the quality. Motas gear is still so underrated in my opinion. Keep up the great work boys. Thanks for your contributions

Best luck to all of you Mota fans out there. I wish I had better germ rates, not one of the pack of Lung Candys popped nor did the Berry Sanders, The Harlequin x LBL and the Strawberry Hp both had good germ rates and were quite hardy and decent yeilders, neither had knock your socks off potency or flavor but decent enough. I spent the last several months trying to get some replacements for the ones that wouldnt pop, no luck yet, hopefully someday. I still rock the Mota t shirt and fly the Mota flag high. I have placed several orders with GLG recently and had awesome service, if your looking for Mota gear, I would recommend ordering from them, super fast, professional service. I hope to be back here with another "improved" Mota thread soon.
