So I have been trying canna coco and canna nuts out seem to be a trial and error so far have grown many good runs in pro mix with gh 3 part with all additives the coco seems like it's going to take some getting use to on watering ! I have been told keep it wet water everyday and that you always want the pot to feel heavy?

Coco can drain and dry very fast.. The better the drainage/drying, the more often you can feed/water..
I use three grades of well soaked/rinsed coco to help the process.. Container size must be chosen to accommodate
your plants needs and your style of growing in coco..
Peace

Run off ppm's should be less than feed correct me if I'm wrong ? I'm feeding 720 ppm's at 5.7-5.8 ph and getting 396 ppm at 6.06 ph on run off am I in the rite range for coco ?

Ime if my runoff was that much lower than what's going in I'd raise my Rez concentration by 100ppm increments until the runoff equalized and/or I started seeing a hint of overfeeding.

They look a touch hungry.

looking good buddy how do you like growing in coco so far?
Like it so far growth is real fast compared to pro mix , seems like you can't overwater it after the roots have filled the pots up but it was kind of tricky to get like I believe I was over watering it when I first went to the 5 gallon pots but now that there filled up with roots I just feed them half gallon a day and I'll up it if they dry any faster hoping to pull some good numbers with the new lighting and coco compared to the pro mix if the growth was any sign of what the flower will do I'm sure i will

From what I've read coco will get you bigger yields compared to soil not sure what the difference is from pro mix but I know people usually use 1 or 2 gal pots for coco and grow huge plants so I think your good with 5 gal

i dropped from 5gal to 3 gal w/coco about a year ago and haven't looked back. Hell, I'm considering 2gal just to get them to the point where they can take multiple irrigations daily faster. From what I've seen one can run a 3gal pot of coco and get a tree that you'd need 20gal of soil to do.

I am learning that small pots are key for real hydro coco. The key is a dense root mass that will take up most of the space. That way you are really feeding the roots rather than the coco. You can definitely overwater coco unless you have the root structure to support the pot size. Also don't forget some calmag if not using some already.

I noticed your using DE lamps, your ceiling doesn't seem that high. Could you share that info. What are your dimensions and are those 750's or 1000w DE's ? Thanx and good luck. They look good so far.

They are Gavita pro 1000e series I have 7 foot ceilings they are turned up to 1150 I have a 6" fan mounted to the bottom of there ballast take the screw out behind the control knob get the 6" hurricane clip fan get a #10 washer go to hardware store match screw up with gavitas length out of the bottom of the fan so screw does not go in any farther than there's does put back together I can get them within 24" of the light some times 18" NO PROBLEMS they will crush it quality and yield go up drastically in pro-mix I was hitting 3 a light hoping to do better in coco I don't seem to think the room gets any hotter with them than the regular single ended bulbs best investment I ever made in the room going to add another light after this run room is 10X11X7 and one last thing I'm not cooling the bulb the fan pushes the heat away with light off I have put my hands above the fans and do NOT feel the wind from the fan around the reflector or bulb and can put my hand 12" under the fan and no hotter than a regular air cooled 1000 I use to use solis maxx 66 hoods

You will not void your warranty with these because you do not break the seal on the ballast if ballast fails simply take the fan off and put there screw back in have some friends that have been doing this for a cpl years now with no problems
