Been digging out for the last couple of hours. My back is gonna hurt tomorrow...

For gnats put 1" of perlite on top of the pot just above the soil. It keeps everything dry. You shouldn't have any gnat problems after that. I also put 1" of perlite on the bottom to keep everything drained well which will solve the root rot problem.

Time for a shower and then it's party time.....

So I make my airpots with a similar fabric because I feel they deliver more oxygen to the roots and produce a substantially fast growing plant (try it with next couple clones, same nutes). However the gnats are a problem. I used added fan at the base of the plant so once they leave the plant they have a hard time getting back to it, I then place a sticky trap in an area of my grow where the fan pushes majority of the air too. 9 out of ten end up near and on the trap and it's a win win.

I like it when it comes to storing them and cleanup is easy. The Root cores get denser in the center than reg pots. But they need to be watered more often. I recommend that anybody try a side by side experiment with them.
I'm soil and dwc, so anything that speeds up my soil based grows is worth a try in my book.

Make a race track in sand you say..lol

Sandcastle

But if you got airpots this may not work because the nats just crawl out the side

so would the rove beetles hunting and eating them....

Cheers man can't get puretane over here and can't get it shipped either, so I've gone for 3 cans of collibri premium so I'll see what that's like when it lands
I used to use the he'll out of brand that comes out the UK. Lucerne I think is the name. Worked well I thought. But now when I do blast, I use capital.. Just not as much pressure in capital cans, so you have to watch how tight you pack

Just read that back and realised I've spelt coarse wrong lol
It's gotta be coarse of course, of course.. lol

The Mosquito Bits work real well keeping them under control, it just pisses me off that after paying good money for their soil I've got the fuckers crawling right out of the damn bag. I never had the bastards until I started using the 707, I've been kinda proud of the fact that I had never had any garden pest problems, 707 blew that out of the water for me.
I think when this bag is gone I might just stick with using the compressed cubes of #4 or Pro-Mix Professional.
