Bodhi Natural Mystic(Jamaican x Snow Lotus)
11 pk seeds
9 plants(1 didn't germinate, 1 runt culled)

A little slow vegging. There's some really short squat plants, most are wider than they are tall. There are a few tall plants, but are showing to be males. Most showed sex by 6wks veg but there's a few still holding out at 7wks today.

Here they were 1 month ago...
Theres a natural mystic blowin

And here's today, 7wks veg...
Theres a natural mystic blowin 2
Theres a natural mystic blowin 3

There's a really tall male in the very back left. The short ones are slower growing than average, and I don't think I'll top them because I don't think they'll be big stretchers. Gonna flower them at about 2ft tall hoping they get to about 3ft x 3ft, or around that. Looks like I have 4-5 females to flower out at this point. Stoked to add Jamaican and Bodhi to my garden. About 2 wks until bloom!

Down to just the females... 4 of em'(out of 9 seeds)

After being really short and tight for 7 wks they finally shot up just a little bit and are letting some light through finally.

All the females ended up being the shorter of the plants, but this girl below is just slightly taller and different than the other females.

Boosted my humidity up to 70%, noticing some dehydrated leaf spots from all the fans running.

Decided I will top these before bloom, all but maybe the shortest one, she's really short and wide.

All for now

These Natural Mystic are 2wks into bloom...
Ended up with 4 females.
Really excited for the next few weeks on these. I've never burned or seen Jamaican and I really am clueless as to what these are gonna smell like. Anyone have experience with Jamaican?

I topped 3/4 plants at 20", left the shortest one untopped.
3/4 were very very short, 1/4 was slightly taller in structure. Out of the whole pack of seeds there were 3 different size structures in veg. 3 seeds grew much taller, 2x in size as others easily, but were all males. 2 seeds were average, and 6 were super short slow growing. There's definitely a taller pheno in these seeds, it just worked out for me this time that all my females were the shorties.

This one below was super short, didn't top it and you can see it's a full bush. Wider than she is tall.

Looking real good when ever i see plants that do not want to grow upwards i tend to raise lights for a few days then lower and so on
I would get in there and start some lower branch clearing before its to late
IMO take all inner 6 " of leaf and sucker buds of main stems and branching before its to late and even get rid of some branches that are going to produce nothing but take energy away from the main production

Thanks! I am getting addicted to the vigor of seeds, I couldn't get clones to look like this in a million years.

Growing short and wide but very fast, gotta get in there and do some major trimming, probably some tomorrow then again when they're done stretching. There's a ton of branches on these. Easily most highly branched plant I've seen. Looks similar to vortex to me, would probably make awesome scrog plants. Nearly endless amounts of branches...

Was in there today and rubbed up against one and it was fruity and sweet, with a heavy wood and spice smell too. Resin is looking great for not even 20 days into bloom

Thanks for chiming in everyone! I really love sharing with you.

Got some pics for ya's. First I wanted to note the nose on these things is very similar to the Apollos. There's 2 really sweet pineapple/tropical fruit smelling girls with a slight dirty background, and 2 with more of a dirty smell upfront and a very light sweetness(like Apollo 11 and 13, respectively). And the branching and shape/size are incredibly similar to Apollos. Not even 4 weeks in yet so we'll have to wait to see what they end like. Thought that was interesting...

Never had to trim plants so much as these, not exaggerating. Tons of "sucker" branches that need pruning, like a damn apple tree. Also massive leaves that block out all light, on top of being very short plants that almost refuse to go upward. I vegged these wayyy extra long and still couldn't get them where I wanted.

Now the pics...
These are done stretching for the most. My goal is to get the plants as tall as the cages. As you can see I fell well short on some of these. Like I said, they just wont go UP.

The most sativa leaf and sweetest smell of all the girls... My favorite looking one
IMG 0279

Props to Bodhi on the resin only 24 days in... there's resin all over the stalks of these things already

Hey hiiipower, Please don't take this wrong but I have never seen or heard of a Bodhi strain with herm issues. I've noticed that most of your current grows have been popping nanners. It seems like something is a miss in your bloom room or some kind of stress is causing the problem. I like the cages around the plants!:)

Well, now u have and it happened to me too....cant believe bodhi is so highly regarded....hes a lollen chucker just like the rest of the basement breeders.....last year i popped 5 packs of bodhi gear and found one just ok keeper of dream beaver and had a bunch herm and shitty germ rates...was not impressed. Oh and b4 u ask there were no light leaks and the plants were healthy.
Btw i know of a few other members who have had bodhi gear herm on em.

Thanks for that man. I am very reluctant to blame anyone else but myself when it comes to herms. That being said, I don't think it was me. No light leaks... Hardly 1 single day of stress on the plants their entire life. I've fucked up badly on seeds before, stressed them to hell and still had no full on male sacs like these(just nanners). I think it's just from the Jamaican in it. It's a landrace and you really don't know what to expect when your opening up old landrace genetics. I'm still pleased, I know this is part of the landrace game. It's a lot more unlikely when breeding 2 stable hybrids. And if a strain herms because of the green light on my indoor a/c's, then it's garbage. Please don't give me that b.s...

I gotta agree @G gnome, make em actually breed, stop endlessing collecting and buying all the f1's and demand something better, cause this stuff is pretty much all that's out there. It's gotta be pretty difficult to monitor the current 200 strains these breeders have out right now.

Bodhi has really moved cannabis forward in an unsurmountable way, so I'm not gonna stomp all over the guy. Very proud to have grown his stuff and I expect to enjoy the fruits as much as anything I've ever tried. I've never seen such high quality growing/smelling cannabis as these Natural Mystics, I'll at least say that...

Thanks all for the input

I love your words brother, I feel the same way about who is growing in my cannabis garden. If they can't handle a little stress then they are not worthy to continue to grow in my opinion. This world is too imperfect for that! Thanks again for the great info that you provide here. Live, Grow, and learn!:)
