Anyone using these that can help me decide which to go with? The price point is basically the same. The nanolux is an all combined unit while the Phantom has a remote ballast setup but everything else seems close. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

315's create barely any heat so the remote ballast should only be beneficial if your space is limited. I personally havent seen the nanolux's but i use the sun systems all in 1 for mothers. Keep in mind that they're coverage is 2.5 × 2.5 to 3×3 area so keep that in mind.

Yeah I'm a little limited on height with a 6' ceiling so was thinking the Phantom or Nanolux would be a little bit lower profile due to the ballast not being mounted at the top. My total space is a little over 7'x10' but I am just getting started on a bit of a budget so getting 2 lights to cover approximately a 3'x6' amount of that space to start then eventually adding 4 more of the lights as I am able too.

So @Trucker what had you decided on? The Phantom or Nanolux?
single 315?
2 @ 315 in one reflector for 630?
or a true DE for 630?

I'm starting to configure my own medicinal grow, and I'm contimplating between these new COB's that are completely new to me, or the CMH ---- Not that MH and HPS are inferior systems... they have worked for years, but I'm I'm starting now why not try out the new technology to minimize heat and the need to direct exterior venting while activing better Efficiency
I ended up going with the Sun System 315 LEC and I have been very happy with it so far.

Glad we could be of help. You would do good in putting in the other lights in the future. They have two different color render index (CRI) bulbs one ideally for flowering 4200K, K for Kelvin. You can flower under both but the other emits light in the further red/orange spectrum promoting denser flowering. Is venting through the ceiling or a wall a posibility? I ask because if your budget allows for purchasing 2 more lights have you considered venting the hoods ? You could put in a 1000W HID in a magnum or raptor type hood leave the glass on and just vent the light, they have a raptor with 2 light sockets one at each end. Sun systems has a lamp called the beast that has a double ended, (DE) and 2 ceramic metal halide on the ends. The (DE) has a remote ballast and ideally you would dim it if things get too hot. The height is the only thing for (DE), but with your actual grow area being 7×10... i would consider two 1000W lamps to get the most out of that space. With proper pruning and training once you have your strain dialed in theres no reason you shouldn't be pulling 2lb's out of that space. Hmu, if you have anywhere to vent the lights we could rearrange the setup. Either way, best of luck to you. PEACE!
