Hey guys and gals , I've done some gardening and now I've got a caretakers lisense . I don't grow a lot , I grow for quality , I absolutely love growing any sort of plant.
I am currently growing 2 outdoor plants , one is super citrus haze a clone from a friend , and the other is an unknown strain clone from a friend.
SCH is in promix mycho , 30 gallon smart pot , added some perlite , earth worm castings and bat Gauno high nitrogen when they were stable.
I'm feeding biothrive vegan organic grow and bloom. Nothing against vegans but I'm not vegan. That's not why I'm using this nute. I'm using it to see how it measures up to Pura Vida grow and bloom, so far so good . I'm kinda lucky all I've had was some spiders that I left alone in the plants because they seem to be keeping all pest away so far.. when I revived these they were pathetic little branches , rooted really well by a friend and they have been doing alright.
Now my questions.
1st since I'm growing a haze plant outdoors in mass should I worry about the finishing before it's cold ? Haze , the last haze I grew took a solid 120 days to flower completely , the indica strain obviously will finish quicker I can tell just by the growth. The indica is way smaller , maybe 4 feet instead of ginormous like the haze plant. Now on the inside. The lowest leafs some on the deep inside of the citrus are yellowing and falling off. I'm not so worried because they're so tucked away and there's legit maybe a thousand fans on this plant. It's 2 weeks about into flower , should I toss her a little grow next feeding rather than just the bloom. I always use 1/4th to 1/2 strength nutes. Never 100 percent advised , they just don't need it maybe some of you outdoor growers could have a look and toss ideas my way criticism or advice. All are welcome. Thanks guys and girls. I appreciate you taking time to even read my post.
Peace. Numbnutts.

Peace. Numbnutts.

Looking good. My plants are also starting to yellow and drop the large fan leaves on the inside of the plant but the plant continues to thrive so I'm just assuming it's all good. I have the soil built up and try to only feed if something looks like it needs a boost. Welcome to the farm.

Thanks , I was a member here for a while but I can't remember what name I was under. Lol. Typical me. I love the site...

I'm kinda worried actually. I have one cutting that may have come from a hermie plant. Which sucks because why would anyone wanna keep a hermie mom going. It's right at the point I think I see a male preflowers but I can't tell if it's just 2 new little leafs that won't grow now that they switched to flower. I'll be bummed of it is. But honestly I expected the unknown one to do it. So I'm not surprised.

So you think that's a male flower ? Kills me. I hate em , but I've had these same lookin flowers. At first they look male. But no stem then a few days later they pop pistils. I'm hoping that's the case because it always seems to be these beautiful plants that hermie and that shit drives me nuts

Well. I'm not seeing any clusters. These look like new leafs growing but I know it could go either way. But at least I do know the super citrus haze is legit and isn't gonna hermie on me she is yellowing up on her inner f

ans though and I'm only 2 weeks into the flowering part. So maybe I need to add some nitrogen. Keep as many fans green as I can till the end when I let em just die off.

Looks like your stems are purple b careful she doesn't lock out

Hey numb, hopes all is well. I checked on my profile pic but can't remember her strain. That year I grew all my plant el naturel, no trimming or shaping so what you see is the true Christmas tree like growth of the cannabis. Problem was on later harvest plants bud rot would become an issue. This year I caged most of them, topped them once, then weaved and super cropped. I don't have any main colas this year but the canopies are much wider. I am hoping for even better yields with this method.

Hey brother. Yeah so that's the very first thing I noticed from theveryone day I got the clone. It's been purple the entire time. But as far as lockout it went from the clone which was relish purple the entire time and was one lititle shitty looking branch about 6 inches long to this bush , so it's been purple the entire time .I tried uploading a photo but it just doesn't wanna do it right now

I have always first thing is bend em over Sideways and tie em to the side of the pot theyre in then the lowest branch becomes the main branch. Then once that one grows a little I tie her down and let another one become the main branch for a while . I do that over about 25 days and by the end they're all topped, fimmed, low stress trained , and then right before flower I release all the branches from their ties. They all stay even and I think this time I ended up with more tops than I can even count. It gets ridiculous. Supercropping , fimming , lst, all of it. It really does work far better than the regular old Christmas tree shape they grow in considering every single branch on the plant is basically it's own plant. Jeez this bush has to have at least 50 or 60 tops. Rough estimate I stopped counting at 40 and that was a month that ago. They're about two weeks or so into flower. I never bothered counting the days flowering because I just wait till they magic at the very end happens , you know how one day they look done , but not quite there yet and 2 days later they look so different. They fill out in those last few days big time. Your plants are real beauties. Id have used that one as a Christmas tree legit if it was mine. Haha. Indoors it's just not worth the effort to have only one cola though.

She's always been purple. From the very start and at first I thought maybe deficiency , but after turning into a nice bush I figure it's a genetic trait that's just prevalent

The ball I thought was a male flower , turned out to be sugar leafs. They look really similar when they first grow ..after a 3 or 4 day period I'd think if it was male flowers it would have multiplied into multiple balls not just the one that's now looking like a tiny leaf.

I am no expert, but I think those "single ball" things are very often calyx, a large early calyx.

I had to build a blackout shelter to place my girls in in colorado works fine but a bit of a pain lugging them in an out.
but as you can see they are kicking ass at 28 days flower.unless you are in a temperate climate till november you will need this for the best results.

The calyx on the plant are huge. The thing that got me , is usually , I'll see a ball on a stem. Then it hangs over then it multiplies and you end up with male flowers. This one looked like it had a claw shape on it at the top so I was sure it wasn't a calyx ..I waited a few days and now it's been about 5 days. No balls. I've checked every inch of this thing to see if they're hiding in there somewhere , nothing so far. So I'm 99.999 percent sure no hermie. Thank God. Over the year and a half or so that I took a break to rebuild my house I wasn't so used to looking at every inch of them every day . Getting back into the swing. Thanks for the second set of eyes. Much appreciated fellow farmer ..

Holy shit , that looks awesome. Great plant you have there. Is that a 30 gallon smart pot I'm seeing. What strain is that , it looks great. I was thinking I was gonna need a tarp to black out the space but these seem to be flowering wonderfully , my only problem is new England sucks in the way that it's 100 f today but could snow tomorrow ...smh. so I'm a little worried the super citrus haze won't finish..quick question. Does a plant outside finish in the same time the same strain would outside ? Or is the sun so strong that they finish quicker ? Thanks for stopping in. Much appreciated.
