hey guys, I am posting a grow journal for my plant. I am a newbie and this is my first grow so any help for flowering would be amazing. I am growing in a closest with 160w CFL lights. I just tried LST for the first time on her. I switched her over last Tuesday. Before LST she was around 14". She's in fox farm ocean forest soil in a 3gal pot. I have not given her any nutes yet. 30 days ago she started to show preflowers, however, there are only 2 that are obviously female, but no pistils yet.

I just did the LST this morning. I am growing in my parents house (please don't lecture me about respect or waiting until I get my own house. This post was just for help/ grow journal (: ) so that is why the walls are a weird color, the people before us had really young kids and I'm pretty sure they were color blind. I just turned off the humidifier when I switched her over. The room stays around 77°. And yes I actually do tuck her in at night, it helps so no light can seep In. While I was out, my lights did fall on her and they stayed on her for atleast 5 hours :( but luckily she recovered from it. And yes I do have nutes, but it is espoma organic bloom which is 1-3-1 which Seems very low to me.

She's a fighter. She recovers very quickly when something does go wrong. Imo I think she's doing very well for the conditions. She's been growing like crazy since I've switched her, that's why I had to try LST. They say they double or triple, yeah I see that now haha. She's got 4 tops so I'm expecting for a decent yield for my first ever grow.

There is a rack above the plant (where I hang my lights) I just put it over that and it drapes down over the plant.
On your next run try starting your LST training earlier in veg. Usually around the 4/5th set of true leaves.

Youve done nothing wrong it just helps to bend and shape the plant in the earlier stages and continue as she spreads out. Dont get discouraged, your doing the right thing askin for help. Folks here sometimes forget they weren't always Master Growers when they 1st started.

FF OF is usually good with no added nutes for about the 1st 3 to 4 weeks. I generally when I used FFOF started ferts around 30 days.

Another suggestion that ties in to me suggesting you start LST sooner is it will keep your plant lower and wider as opposed to stretching as with your limited resources/lighting intensity starting earlier and having a more squat gal will allow you to keep the cfl's closer to the canopy.

Anytime you get stuck reach out and remember the only dumb question is the one you dont ask. I will assist you in anyway I can without cracks about your paint job or tucking her in. I dont tuck em in but I do rub my galz stems every night before bedtime LOL

I wasn't planning on LST but she sure did stretch a lot more than I planned so I had to do something. And I only tuck her in because my timer is set to turn off at 7 pm and I don't want any of the outside light to seep in and mess things up haha. Please make fun of the paint job all you want tho haha. I hate it, they picked the worst colors.

the stretch is going to happen due to flipping to flower as that is normal, but you also have cfl's and your plant will stretch and get leggy trying to get into your lights sweet spot. With lst you will keep her squatter and closer to the sweet spot. Either way do what works for you and your situation /environment. peace

Well thank you for those props @Toaster79 Nicest thing Ive heard all day. Much love brother!!! You aint no slouch either my friend. :)
