Hello Farmers,

I have grown outside several times with great success. I am now going inside. A friend donated me a 60" by 60" by 80" grow tent and a Kind l600 LED light. He also threw in a portable AC/Heater/dehumidifier, a bunch of nutes, timers, a huge fan, and a bunch more gadgets.

All I'm missing is the containers, beans, and a medium.

Obviously I want this 1st indoor grow to be successful so I have a few questions to ask (I have been pouring the information on here but I just haven't found all of what I'm looking for).

So the goal is a nice fat harvest of some killer herb.

1. I am thinking 4 plants. Should I do more or less?
2. Growing medium, I can't decide between a basic hydro set up, organic soil, or soiless with drain to waste. I feel like soil will be the easiest but I'm open to suggestions. Again I want simple, high quality, and decent quantity.
3. What strain would work best in this setup? I'm pretty handy so thinking about scrog. However, I want a good easy 1st harvest. I know I can do scrog from what I've read on here but I can see me running into issues on my 1st time.
4. CO2. Are the sugar and yeast jars adequate? Do those fungus bags work well enough? Or should I just get a tank?
5. Should I use seeds or clones? I have a card and I'm legit to I do have access to clones. I have never used clones before.
6. What nutes should i keep on hand? I see calmmag is important and i have all kinds of random nutes like the Terpinator, Rhino Skin, and some Bloom Booster. Is there anything else i need to have on hand?

Seriously and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Or if you can point me to the right topic that would be great to.
I can post pictures of my setup if needed and I will post pictures of my grow.

Thanks Farmers

For your first indoor grow I would grow with soil; a good quality indoor potting mix with perlite mixed in for aeration.

I would say keep it simple; just veg the clones, and I would say go with clones as that way you know they will all be female plants, and then top them once and flower.

For fertilizers you need one high in nitrogen for veg, and then one low in nitrogen and high in potassium and phosphorous for flower.

I wouldn't worry about CO2 or scrog for your first grow indoors, you can progress to that later if you want.

Just stick to topping them or supercropping them at first.

Start with clones it is easier. Blue dream grows very well and is a large yield producer. Good for daytime, energy, helps with anxiety also

I went with 5gallon hydro dwc first grow, str8 from seed. I used Critical Jack by Dinafem auto feminized seeds, easiest starter grow, the seeds are genetically engineered to auto flower without changing light cyles.i also was using the General Hydro line then. I had amazing results, almost 1 pound total from one plant under T5, don't believe me i have photos lol . Don't be afraid of hydro or seeds especially feminized auto flower seeds. I use t5 for veg now only but it can be used start to finish don't believe the hype. i now prefer the digilux Mh for veg and Digilux hps for flower however. Good luck

Co2 from fermentation attracts all kinds of pests, I made that mistake before...

Ebay or Amazon has great hydro dwc starter setups which come with the air pump, air stones, 5gallon buckets and airlines, clay pebble for cheap money to, good way to see if hydro is for you without a big investment.

Thanks everyone. I got my beans today. I will update how things go maybe in the grow diary section.
The strains I ended up going with are King Tut, Hash Plan, Lemon Cheese Cake, Cinderella 99, and a few others. It should be interesting for sure.

Awesome! Keep it simple at first, don't get crazy with all the nute boosters, try a three step nute system imo. Maybe 1 or 2 boosters . Good luck keep us posted✌️
