Hey Guys
I don't know if you have heard of Alibaba its a Chinese whole sell site like amazon but cheaper .... and only partially in English.... but they have 1000W LED lights that are fully customizable... anyone ever takin the gamble.... for 100$ per light i think 2 would work well in a 4x4 setting
https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...60561436851.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.oSVgNp there is the link if you want to take a look but shop around for the cheepest light in china and you never know what you might get

About what I thought ... ... just seeing if there was any advice out there

So i went with Meizhi LED lights... compromise between cheep and working... so far it has done great! lots of node growth and stacking. So now I'm wondering is it worth getting a PAR meter to compare this light to others, also is two of the 1200W lights going to be to intense for a 52"x52" grow space?

Honestly for the price of a par meter you can buy a pretty nice name brand light. What's the Point in saving 500 on a light just to spend it on a par meter to tell you the light works? If anything I'd talk to your local hydro store. I know we just ordered a par meter to rent out to customers.

I had done some shopping on ebay and some of those LED's Aren't using the correct drivers.... its easy to tell because my 1200W has an actual power draw of 584W. So if the lights are given the proper wattage (by a driver) A 1000w LED should draw around 520W.

Ya it draws about 220 - 260w but my plants are 29 days old from sprout and the lights on the sides are only 2 50w leds. Do ypuvthink my pplans are the size they should be?

How much heat do those leds put out? 50% less power being drawn is not something I see worth the investment.

thats pretty good for 29 days since they came out of the soil, but I can see that you are going to need a much bigger light footprint to flower, mine usually double or more in size three weeks after setting them to flower.... if your light isn't strong enough they will stretch and get small nugs.
I had a simalar experience with my first run... i put two plants under a mars hydro 300W and they weren't happy... i added a 400w HPS and they did way better.

Hardly any. The 50ws that are older put out more heat. Mines got 2 cooling fans blowing on the panel

Ah... If only I knew the website says 1200 PAR from 18" but I suspect there are bright spots and dim spots

Ahh well half of them are topped and the ones that arent are already tied down. Gonna create an even canopy. All i can afford this run so gotta make the best of it
