Hi guys! Names Tyler and im new to growing. Got my first clones about 2 weeks ago and so far so good! Im currently trying out a RDWC system that i built watching youtube videos. Still have alot to buy and what not but im in love with growing now! I look forward to picking peoples brains and learning all i can!

ok you just cant tease us with clones 2 weeks ago.. hooks up with the details.. what are your girls breeding back ground (strain )? what nutes you running, lights?

Hey chris thanks for the warm welcome!. It all started when me and my girl had this idea to turn a little cubby in the garage into a grown room. This was like 2 days before Thanksgiving.

Right now im running general hydroponics flora series. Calmag and rapid start from GH as well. Im running 2 lights one 600w viparspectra PAR600 and a kingled 1000w that i would like to replace..... (lots of bad reviews on amazon, should have done a little more research on that one)

I currently have 2 alien pebbles and 2 devils tear. Also just picked up from a buddy of mine 5 yoda OG clones.

Hey tinderthumbs!

Here are some pics without the led.

Right now it stays at around 80-84.
In the near future im going to run into some problems. Im in san diego and right now its cold. But when summer rolls around its going to cook in there. And running a a/c unit is going to kill my electric bill even more than it is now. Im brainstorming ideas atm.

Oh and that leaves me with the water temp of my rez. Thats another thing....... im currently playing Russian Roulette with frozen gallons :(

I see the ducking but not the inline fan after u get one of them that will help a lot what is the temp in the rez getting ?

Yea thats the next item on my list. Should be getting the inline at the end of the week.
Cought it one time at 82.
But that was before the roots were through. I can keep it down with the jugs its just a BIG pain.

Dropping 300 on a chiller is something i dont want to do because.. what if i decide i dont want to go rdwc

nice work man. i also fear of heat even tho i will be using a tent. living where it gets 115 i had no choice but to go to LED. so we see what kind of fox tail i get on my first grow. at least the LED light im going with says it wont burn the plants.. so, i need all the help i can get, and if the lights can save me from burning.. its all rock in roll. thanks for sharing the pictures, told the story quite well, iv heard that pebble is some bomb ass shit. good luck on your grow and look forward to following along. ill be growing in dirt, but its all interesting. im kind of dumb sometimes so i figure dirt was the way to go. LOL

I have a air cooled light that thing was well worth the money before it could get up to 100-120 if I turned inline and other fans off with in 20-30 min

really helps having air being pulled over the light bulb and pumped out the room

Yea it should help alot. Im also hoping it will help keep my rez temp a little cooler. Here is a pic of the roots. Still white luckly

The funny thing is i was so worried about it being to cold when i first started..... boy was i wrong.

Im more tha. Likely going to go to soil or coco. This rwdc system is kinda taking up to much space. I want to have veg and flower sections. So im thinking of spitting the room in half and running 2 flood and drain tables.

Anyways ill keep everyone up to date as best i can

Greenhouse extraction fan hooked up to a thermostat controller, and running lights at night. You may need to get a chiller. There goes your SDG&E bill! :o No chance of doing an OD run during summer months? Only east county gets really hot. At least, that's how it was when I lived down there.

Hey seamaiden! Ive thought about maybe going OD during summer. Still trying to weigh my options. Im kinda living on the edge right now and wanna see just how hot it can get in there when it actually gets hot out.

If i do decide to keep the rdwc im definitely going to have to pony up and buy one.

The picture is of the outside of the grow room. Was thinking of maybe covering it with that reflective foam board. Now will that make it to hot?

sure will make it hotter less room for hot air to get out if u can close it off and get a exfan to pull that hot air out then u b in biz

now after seeing the purple dog lol did not se the pic right what id do there is put a exfan and pipe like what u would see over a bath room or wash room just so no one thinks any of it and draw right from the grow room and up n out
